First thing that Jumps out at me is that you need to change the infobox ill take mroe fo a look later and then let you know wat i thinkJason Rees (talk) 01:45, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article is good, but it needs some work. Assuming you're going for FAC, here are some thingies that caught my attention.

Primarily, what was the reason for the inactivity? That'd be a good thing to add
Non-breaking spaces for dates and categories (Category 2)
NOAA should be linked/expanded in the seasonal activity section
"Aside Chris, Florence, and Gordon" - missing word?
"by noted hurricane experts like Dr. William M. Gray" - like is a weak word, and it leads me to ask, does anyone else do forecast predictions?
"a total of 10 storms would form" - I know it's against WP:MOSNUM, but it seems really out of place to have 10 in numbers, but the rest of the numbers in the section spelled out (two, five).
You wait three sentences in the Alberto section before mentioning a location. Please add where the storm formed.
"The first storm of July formed... the depression became better-defined" - poor wording that you don't even say it was a depression til the end of the second sentence. You should probably mention the tropical depression number (same with the other depressions).
In the Beryl section "possibly as a result of a mesocyclone to the south" - is that important? If so, it needs explanation, but if not, I'd remove it, since it's confusing. Also on the Beryl section, it'd be nice to be more specific than just forming in the gulf. Furthermore, what happened to it? You leave me hanging with it "was identifiable as far north as Connecticut." Was it identifiable in Massachusetts? Canada?
"The wave organized" - bad wording. Tropical waves don't organize into tropical cyclones. Convection builds along the wave, and lows form along the wave, and each of them develop into the TC. But the wave itself doesn't develop into a TC.
"A tropical wave that was noted since August 17" - weird wording
In the lede, you should mention where Debby affected land. Likewise, in Debby's paragraph, you should mention at least once (!) where the storm tracked. That is problematic, as you also mention the landfall in the season effects section.
You don't mention when Ernesto dissipated, or that it did actually dissipate.
"The eighth depression of the season formed on September 19 in the southwestern Caribbean Sea." - did it? The season effects section says Sept. 24.
You might want to clarify that nothing formed in October, maybe in the first sentence of November.
For Florence, formation location is needed.
"After a few days as an unusual hybrid of a tropical and a subtropical system in the Gulf of Mexico, the storm re-claimed its fully tropical form and made yet another landfall across the Florida peninsula and continued into the Atlantic Ocean." - bit of a mouthful. Could you reword some of it?
"In the Atlantic, Gordon rapidly strengthened to a Category 1 hurricane" - not really. It gradually intensified - check the met. history article.
It looks really weird to have the "See also: Christmas 1994 nor'easter" link at the top of the other storms section, considering that storm was the second paragraph, not the first.
The first "other storm" has some credibility to its inclusion, since the HPC called it a subtropical storm. But has anyone called the nor'easter a tropical cyclone? All you say is "exhibiting signs of tropical development". I don't really see justification for this being in the article, unless you find an official source saying it was tropical/subtropical.
"The United States were directly affected by three named storms and three other tropical systems." - you mention the three named storms, but you completely ignore the other tropical systems. Were they the tropical depressions? Or did you include the potential other storms.
Why do you use 2007 USD in the impact section, and not 2008 USD?
You have an entire paragraph on Gordon's and Debby's Carib. impact, but that leads me to wonder, did any of the other storms have impact in Carib.? As it stands, it's just two Carib. paragraphs, which is different from the other paragraphs which are specifically a seasonal summary of impact in those countries.
