LOCATION AND GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF PROPERTIES

The railroad of the Williamsport & North Branch Railroad Company, hereinafter called the carrier, is a single-track steam railroad located in northeastern Pennsylvania. The owned mileage is standard gauge and consists of a main line extending northeasterly from Halls to Satterfield, a distance of 44.430 miles, with a branch extending from Birch Creek to Bernice, aggregating 45.580 miles of main track. The railroad of the Eagles Mere Railroad Company, hereinafter called the Eagles Mere Railroad, which is leased to and operated by the carrier, is a single-track narrow-gauge line located in Pennsylvania. It extends from a connection with the lessee's main line, at Sonestown, northerly to Eagles Mere Park, a distance of 9.669 miles. The carrier owns and uses 56.107 miles of all tracks, standard


CORPORATE HISTORY

The carrier was incorporated August 31, 1882, under the general laws of the State of Pennsylvania, for the purpose of acquiring the property, rights, and franchises of the Muncy Creek Railway Company and for other purposes. The date of its organization was August 31, 1882. The Muncy Creek Railway Company was incorporated May 21, 1864, under the general laws of the State of Pennsylvania. It was sold to representatives of the bondholders February 17, 1882, and by them transferred to the carrier September 1, 1882.

DEVELOPMENT OF FIXED PHYSICAL PROPERTY

Of the 45.58 miles of road owned by the carrier, it acquired 5.5 miles from the Muncy Creek Railway Company and 40.08 miles by construction. The years when the various portions of the line were
