CORPORATE HISTORY

The carrier is not incorporated, but is the trade name given a unit of the Alabama State Docks Commission, an agency of the State of Alabama, created by special act, approved September 18, 1923, and amendments thereto. The Alabama State Docks Commission is composed of three members and it was organized December 5, 1923.

DEVELOPMENT OF FIXED PHYSICAL PROPERTY

The operated mileage was acquired by construction between January 1925, and December 1, 1927, under certificate of public convenience and necessity issued March 15, 1926, 105 I.C.C. 673-675. The recorded main track mileage is 5.88; the inventoried mileage, 5.619 of main track and 30.487 of yard tracks and sidings.
