The carrier was incorporated September 10, 1903, under the general laws of the State of Pennsylvania, for the purpose of acquiring the property, rights, and franchises of the Perry County Railroad Company which had been incorporated February 4, 1887, under the general laws of the State of Pennsylvania. - DEVELOPMENT OF FIXED PHYSICAL PROPERTY
The owned mileage of the carrier, extending from Duncannon to Bloomfield Junction, Pa., a distance of 13.817 miles, was acquired under foreclosure proceedings from the Perry County Railroad Company. Available records indicate that the Perry County Railroad Company, on the date of its demise, owned approximately 22 miles of road between Duncannon and Landenberg, Pa., but do not indicate what disposition was made of the 8 miles of road between Bloomfield Junction and Landenberg.
