The railroad property of the St. Paul Bridge & Terminal Railway Company, herein called the carrier, is located in the State of Minnesota. Its owned property consists of a railroad bridge across the Mississippi River, together with a single-track, standard-gauge, steam railroad, extending from St. Paul to South St. Paul, and comprising 2.311 miles of main track and 5.110 miles of yard tracks and sidings. The carrier also uses, under lease, from other carriers, additional single-track, standard-gauge, line at South St. Paul, Minn., comprising 2.447 miles of main track and 25.413 miles of yard tracks and sidings. The carrier wholly owns and uses 7.421 miles of all tracks and uses but does not own 27.860 miles of all tracks, as classified in the trackage table in Appendix 1.
The carrier is a switching line, connecting various railroads with the industries located at South St. Paul, Minn., and particularly the stockyards of the Saint Paul Union Stockyards Company, a noncarrier corporation. The carrier and the stockyards company are controlled by the Swift interests.
- CORPORATE HISTORY
The carrier was incorporated October 14, 1908, under the general laws of the State of Minnesota, for the purpose of constructing a railway and bridge across the Mississippi River, extending from Hoffman Avenue, St. Paul, to South St. Paul, Minn. The date of its organization has not been ascertainable from the records reviewed.

The owned mileage of the carrier, amounting to 2.311 miles of main line and 5.110 miles of other tracks, including a bridge across the Mississippi River, was acquired by construction during the years 1908 and 1909. The records reviewed do not indicate whether the construction work was performed by the carrier's forces or by contract.
