The railroad of the Schuylkill and Lehigh Railroad Company, herein called the Schuylkill and Lehigh, is a single-track line, extending from Cumru Junction, Reading, to Little Run Junction, Pa., a distance of 49.322 miles, including three short branches at Reading, Pa., and one at Evansville, Pa.

With the exception of two small branch lines, aggregating 1.85 miles, acquired by construction in 1890 and 1901, the road owned by the Schuylkill and Lehigh was acquired by purchase as of July 1, 1880.
