The railroad of the Plymouth Railroad Company, herein called the Plymouth Railroad, is a single-track line, extending from Conshohocken to Oreland, Pa., a distance of 9.190 miles.


CORPORATE HISTORY

The Plymouth Railroad was incorporated May 16, 1836, under a special act of the State of Pennsylvania. The date of organization was June 13, 1836.

DEVELOPMENT OF FIXED PHYSICAL PROPERTY

The mileage owned by the Plymouth Railroad, amounting to 9.190 miles, was acquired by construction. About 4 miles between Conshohocken and Carson's Lime Kilns were constructed between 1836 and 1840. In 1868 the 4 miles were rebuilt and the road extended to Oreland station.
