The railroad of the Oklahoma City Junction Railway Company, herein called the carrier, is a single-track, standard-gauge, steam railroad, located in Oklahoma City, Okla. The company owns 1.724 miles of main track together with 3.779 miles of yard tracks and sidings. Its road thus embraces 5.503 miles of all tracks owned and used. The carrier is an industrial terminal railroad. It serves the stockyards and packing-house industries, including the plant of Morris and Company which controls the railroad.

CORPORATE HISTORY

The carrier was incorporated June 19, 1909, in the State of Oklahoma, for the purpose of constructing a railroad and stockyard facilities at Oklahoma City, Okla. The date of organization was July 12, 1909.

DEVELOPMENT OF FIXED PHYSICAL PROPERTY

The entire road owned, consisting of 1.724 miles of main track and 3.779 miles of yardtracks and sidings, was acquired by construction during the period April, 1910, to October 1, 1910. The construction work was performed under contract by the Investors Construction Company which was organized by Edwin Morris and Fred Sulzberger, who were also connected with the packing industries to be served by the railroad.
