Location and General Description of Property

The railroad of Oil Fields and Santa Fe Railway Company, hereinafter called the Oil Fields and Santa Fe Railway, is a single-track line, located entirely within the State of Oklahoma. The line embraces 28.461 miles of road, extending from Gushing to Drumright and from Jennings to Crow.

Introductory

The Oil Fields and Santa Fe Railway is a corporation of the State of Oklahoma, having its principal office at Oklahoma City, Okla. It is controlled by the Santa Fe through ownership of its entire capital stock. On the other hand, the records reviewed indicate that the company itself does not control any other common-carrier corporation. The property purchased by the Oil Fields and Santa Fe Railway on May 7, 1915, was operated for its account by the Santa Fe from the date of purchase to December 31, 1915. The entire property of the Oil Fields and Santa Fe Railway has been operated under lease by the Santa Fe since January 1, 1916.

The Oil Fields and Santa Fe Railway was incorporated April 7, 1915, under the general laws of the State of Oklahoma.

The mileage owned by the Oil Fields and Santa Fe Railway, amounting to 28.461 miles, was acquired by it through purchase or construction, as follows:

No information has been obtained regarding the dates of construction of the 18 miles of road purchased. The remaining 10 miles of road was constructed by the Santa Fe for account of the Oil Fields and Santa Fe Railway.

Leased Railway Property

The entire property of the Oil Fields and Santa Fe Railway is leased to the Santa Fe for a term expiring May 6, 1930. The terms of the lease are given in the section on leased railway property in the report on the Santa Fe.
