The property of Memphis Union Station Company, hereinafter called the carrier, consists of a passenger station with facilities, appurtenances, yard tracks, and sidings located wholly within the city of Memphis, Tenn. The mileage of yard tracks and sidings is 5.571 miles.
The carrier connects at Memphis with the lines of Louisville and Nashville Railroad Company, the Nashville, Chattanooga & St. Louis Railway, Southern Railway Company, St. Louis, Iron Mountain and Southern Railway Company, and St. Louis Southwestern Railway Company. These five companies are herein collectively called the tenant companies.
Corporate history.—The carrier was incorporated by the tenant companies September 30, 1909, under the general laws of the State of Tennessee. Its stated purpose was to construct and operate a passenger terminal station in the city of Memphis, Tenn. Its principal office is at Memphis.
