It is controlled by the proprietary companies, jointly, through ownership of its entire outstanding capital stock, divided, Union Pacific Railroad Company 625 shares, Missouri Pacific Railroad Company 500 shares, The Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railway Company 250 shares, and The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company 125 shares. The records do not indicate that this company controls any common-carrier corporation. The property has been operated by its own organization during its entire life.

The owned property, comprising a union depot building, 0.092 mile of main track, and 0.773 mile of yard tracks and sidings, was acquired by construction during the period July 1886 to November 1888 and was opened for operation November 14, 1888. The depot building, retaining wall, platform, and sheds were constructed by independent contractors, and the tracks were constructed by the forces of The Union Pacific Railway Company, predecessor of the Union Pacific Railroad Company.
