- CORPORATE HISTORY
The Inter-California Railway was incorporated June 15, 1904, under the general laws of California. The date of its organization was June 18, 1904.
- DEVELOPMENT OF FIXED PHYSICAL PROPERTY
The recorded mileage of this company, in California, 44.41 miles, was all acquired by construction during the period from April 10, 1903, to July 24, 1911. The inventoried mileage is 44.369 miles. Details as to the construction of the property are given in the accounting report on the Southern Pacific.
In its report to us on its corporate history, the Inter-California Railway states that the construction of its railroad was started in the name of the Imperial and Gulf Railway Company (incorporated in California March 12, 1902; charter forfeited December 14, 1905,) which apparently acquired no physical property and abandoned the work in favor of the Inter-California Railway.
In addition to the 44.369 miles of road in California, the Inter-California Railway owns about 51.67 miles of road located in the Republic of Mexico.
