The railroad of the Fairmont Bingamon Railway Company, herein called the Fairmont Bingamon Railway, is a single-track detached branch line, located in West Virginia, extending from Hutchinson to Wyatt, 8.525 miles.

CORPORATE HISTORY

The Fairmont Bingamon Railway was incorporated January 21, 1916, under the general laws of West Virginia for the purpose of building a railroad from a connection with the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad at Hutchinson, W. Va., to the town of Wyatt, W. Va., about 8 miles. The company was organized March 8, 1916.

DEVELOPMENT OF FIXED PHYSICAL PROPERTY

The owned mileage of the Fairmont Bingamon Railway, amounting to 8.525 miles, was acquired by construction. Work on this road was commenced by The Western Maryland Railway Company in 1915 before the organization of this company. The road was completed and opened for operation October 1, 1917.
