The railroad of the Cisco & Northeastern Railway Company, herein called the carrier, is a single-track, standard-gage, steam railroad, extending in a northwardly direction from Cisco to Breckenridge, Tex., a distance of 28.0 miles. The carrier wholly owns and uses 34.620 miles of all tracks, which are classified in the trackage table in Appendix 1.


CORPORATE HISTORY

The carrier was incorporated December 4, 1918, under the general laws of the State of Texas, for the purpose of constructing and operating a railroad extending from Cisco to Graham, Tex. The date of its organization was December 4, 1918.

DEVELOPMENT OF FIXED PHYSICAL PROPERTY

The owned mileage of the carrier, extending from Cisco to Breckenridge, Tex., a distance of 28 miles, was acquired by it through construction. In accordance with a contract dated July 26, 1919, M. A. Wogan furnished material and labor for the construction of the property at specified rates or at cost plus 10 per cent. The construction work began in August, 1919, and the road was completed in sections in April, 1920; in July, 1920; and on October 14, 1920. The company has operated as a common carrier since August 1, 1920.
