The railroad of the Charleston Terminal Company, hereinafter called the carrier, is a single-track standard-gauge steam-operated railroad, with wharves and docks serving boat-line connections in the harbor of Charleston, S. C. The carrier wholly owns and uses 1.770 miles of main track and 11.867 miles of yard tracks and sidings. Its road thus embraces 13.637 miles of all tracks, located in the city of Charleston, S. C.
