Location and General Description of Property

The railroad of the Bethel Granite Railroad[sic] Company, herein referred to as the Bethel Granite Railway, is located in Vermont and is a single-track, standard-gage railroad, extending from Bethel to Granite Quarries. It consists of 5.392 miles of road and 0.644 mile of yard tracks and sidings, making 6.036 miles of all tracks.

Corporate History

The Bethel Granite Railway was incorporated on August 4, 1904, under the general laws of Vermont, with principal office at St. Albans, Vt. It is operated by the carrier under an implied lease. The property was constructed by independent contractors and opened for operation on November 20, 1905.

Leased Railway Property

The Bethel Granite Railway was operated by the carrier under an implied lease. Subsequent to the date of valuation the property of the Bethel Granite Railway was transferred and deeded to the carrier.
