The railroad of The Apache Railway Company, hereinafter called the carrier, is a single-track, standard-gage, steam railroad, located in eastern Arizona. The main line extends southerly from Holbrook to McNary, a distance of 72.000 miles. The carrier also owns 4.123 miles of yard tracks and sidings. Its road thus embraces 76.123 miles of all tracks owned and used. The carrier has joint use of station facilities and trackage rights over certain tracks at Holbrook, Ariz., owned by The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company. On the other hand, the carrier grants the latter company trackage rights over certain of its tracks at Holbrook. The carrier is an industrial railroad. It is controlled by the Cady Lumber Company, owners of a large mill at McNary, Ariz., and extensive timber land in that vicinity.

The carrier was incorporated September 5, 1917, under the laws of Arizona for the purpose of constructing and operating a railroad from a point at or near Holbrook, Navajo County, to a point at or near Cluff Cienaga, Apache County, all in Arizona. The date of its organization was September 6, 1917.
- DEVELOPMENT OF FIXED PHYSICAL PROPERTY
The entire 72 miles of railroad, extending from a connection with tracks of The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company at Holbrook, to McNary, Ariz., owned by the carrier, was acquired by construction during the period September 1917, to July 1, 1920. Records indicate the work was performed by forces of the carrier.
