Category:New York railway station stubs is getting close to 400 stubs (and may even pass it soon). It's intersection with Category:New York City transportation stubs includes 162 articles; I propose Category:New York City railway station stubs/{{NYC-railstation-stub}} for the intersection of the scopes. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 15:13, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
- Speedy support the template; Support the cat, once it's clear that there are sufficient pages bearing the template. --Redrose64 (talk) 20:22, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
- Speedy support - agree with Redrose64. Regards, --Fadesga (talk) 19:18, 28 February 2014 (UTC)

There are 170 stubs related to Indian newspapers (see this scan). Accordingly I propose the creation of the Category:Indian newspaper stubs. Regards, --Fadesga (talk) 14:35, 24 February 2014 (UTC)
- Support, although you should probably start tagging them first witgh {{India-newspaper-stub}}; once you've tagged 49 more, it's a clear S1 speedy case. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 21:18, 25 February 2014 (UTC)

I propose the creation of a Category:Media book stubs for books about the media - see this scan: 231 stubs. There are already 60 of them at the Category:Film book stubs, but this leaves over 170 stubs for the proposed category. Regards, --Fadesga (talk) 17:18, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
- And it could include the templates {{media-book-stub}}, {{tv-book-stub}} and other similar. --Fadesga (talk) 17:38, 20 February 2014 (UTC)

{{Maryland-railstation-stub}} now has 70 transclusions. I think we should create a Category:Maryland railway station stubs for it now. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 18:28, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
- Speedy support per S1. --Redrose64 (talk) 19:33, 19 February 2014 (UTC)

I propose {{SanFrancisco-struct-stub}}/Category:San Francisco, California building and structure stubs - While many of the 363 stubs in this scan wouldn't belong there, we could probably find at least 10 not in this scan of 50 (just railway stations). עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 06:40, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
- Those that are railway stations ought to have
{{California-railstation-stub}}
, if they don't already. That populates Category:California railway station stubs which is a subcat of Category:California building and structure stubs --Redrose64 (talk) 16:48, 19 February 2014 (UTC)- I've proposed a {{SanFrancisco-railstation-stub}} below - it would feed both here and a proposed subct of Category:California railway station stubs. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 18:30, 19 February 2014 (UTC)

I think we could really use this stub template and if there are more than 60 stubs create Category:Film critic stubs.♦ Dr. Blofeld 18:06, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
- OK, go on, let's create first the template (upmerged in the existing Category:Film biography stubs). --Fadesga (talk) 15:09, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
- Template created, now go on with its usage. --Fadesga (talk) 15:44, 19 February 2014 (UTC)

I propose the creation of {{KT-Red-stub}} (popular social figure). KT Red is a model/actress based in Atlanta and has been featured on numerous television networks and film projects. She is a very well-known figure in the local area, as well as across the states. Her already notable momentum of success continues to increase as she is constantly shooting new projects, ranging from magazine covers and calendars to playing a minor suspect in J Lo's new movie, the dancer kidnapped by Travis Porter on The Game, or a recurring character on Single Ladies, Drop Dead Diva, and Devious Maids. She is also a recording artist with a life-changing story of overcoming solitude and abandonment. Thanks, OfficialKTred 09:26, 11 February 2014 (UTC)
- @OfficialKTred: It sounds like you're proposing creation of an article for KT Red. Per WP:WSS/P#Proposing new stub types – procedure, if you wish to propose the creation of a stub article you've come to the wrong place. This page only deals with stub templates and categories; we cannot help you with creating articles. You can go to WP:AFC for proposing a new article; or if you feel confident, you can create the article yourself. If you don't know how, add {{Helpme}} to your user talk page to request help from other editors. --Redrose64 (talk) 18:52, 11 February 2014 (UTC)
Category:Bus stubs split

I propose splitting Category:Bus stubs - I see that the United States has 256 stubs tagged under this category and its subcats, and the UK has 83 stubs - both enough for {{US-bus-stub}}/Category:United States bus stubs and {{UK-bus-stub}}Category:United Kingdom bus stubs. I think we should also use multiple-upmerged stub tags for the eventual subcats - {{US-bus-station-stub}}, {{US-bus-company-stub}}, and {{UK-bus-station-stub}}. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 05:48, 11 February 2014 (UTC)
- Hi there. I have seen through the Category:Bus stubs and it is indeed very heterogeneous in content, there are bus models, lines, companies, systems, etc. I suggest that a more sensible, wide-ranging approach could be (by comparison with Category:Rail transport stubs): let's consider the creation of a Category:Bus transport stubs, in order to include all the stubs related to the generic topic "buses". The existing Category:Bus stubs could be considered as a sub-category of the new one, and reserved only for "buses proper" (I mean: stub articles currently included under the Category:Buses, of which a scan shows 195). Then, create some subcategories by country, for instance, Category:United States bus transport stubs and Category:United Kingdom bus transport stubs (each of them with the corresponding upmerged stub tags, etc.). Regards, --Fadesga (talk) 13:51, 14 February 2014 (UTC)
- By the way, it's Category:United States bus transportation stubs because of ENGVAR - see base category Category:Transportation in the United States. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 15:53, 18 February 2014 (UTC)

There is the {{Geo-book-stub}} upmerged in the Category:Science book stubs. Looking into this scan, there are more than 80 geography book stubs. I propose the creation of the Category:Geography book stubs. Regards, --Fadesga (talk) 15:42, 8 February 2014 (UTC)
- No objections expressed, category created. --Fadesga (talk) 14:00, 18 February 2014 (UTC)

I propose splitting Category:United States bridge (structure) stubs by state - categories where there are at least 60, upmerged tags otherwise, with some bridges being tagged with 2 states. Note that a quick scan found 1000 stubs which belong in this category (the most it looks for)! עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 14:58, 5 February 2014 (UTC)
- Support - and may I suggest you something: OK, you may create as many templates as there are states, but then, upmerge them into "bigger" subcategories. A good example is under Category:United States building and structure stubs, there you can see the Category:Midwestern United States building and structure stubs, Category:Northeastern United States building and structure stubs, etc. Regards, --Fadesga (talk) 01:21, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
- Moreover: the State of New York will deserve a category for itself. This scan shows over 90 bridges only in New York. Accordingly I have just created the upmerged template {{NewYork-bridge-stub}}. Regards, --Fadesga (talk) 01:32, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
- Wow! And Pennsylvania is amazing: here you see 391 stubs devoted to bridges there! So, come the {{Pennsylvania-bridge-stub}} --Fadesga (talk) 01:41, 9 February 2014 (UTC)

I propose creating Category:San Francisco Bay Area railway station stubs, which will include the following:
- {{AlamedaCountyCA-railstation-stub}} (upmerged) - 22 stubs
- {{ContraCostaCountyCA-railstation-stub}} (upmerged) - 7 stubs
- {{SanFrancisco-railstation-stub}} (upmerged here+Category:San Francisco, California stubs) - 50 stubs
- {{SantaClaraCountyCA-railstation-stub}}/Category:Santa Clara County, California railway station stub - 63 stubs
- {{SolanoCountyCA-railstation-stub}} (upmerged) - 1 stub
By my count, this would include 80 stubs+1 subcat with 63 - plenty for a category. Note that the parent category, Category:California railway station stubs, is slightly above 200 now. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 14:28, 5 February 2014 (UTC)

I propose the creation of the Category:Laotian sport stubs. It could include the templates {{Laos-sport-stub}}, {{Laos-footyclub-stub}}, {{Laos-footy-competition-stub}}, {{Laos-sports-venue-stub}} and other related. The corresponding scan gives 99 stubs. Regards, --Fadesga (talk) 18:48, 4 February 2014 (UTC)
{{Laos-sport-stub}}
has 27 transclusions;{{Laos-footyclub-stub}}
has 13;{{Laos-footy-competition-stub}}
has 23; {{Laos-sports-venue-stub}} has 7, for a total of 70. Not sure where you get the extra 29 from. However, I do believe that taken together, this meets WP:WSS/P#"Speedy creation" S1. --Redrose64 (talk) 20:11, 4 February 2014 (UTC)- Category created; sportspeople-related stubs added as well. Regards, --Fadesga (talk) 01:26, 5 February 2014 (UTC)
