Summer Days!
July 1 Canada Day Dominion Day now known as Canada Day is celebrated July 1, 2008. Please help develop our members of parliament articles, and National Historic Site in Saskatchewan articles! Museums Several community museums are only open during the summer months in Saskatchewan. Virtual Museum of Canada - Calendar of Events - Discover events which are offered during the summer months. Parks July 18 is defined as Canada's Parks Day across the nation, and July 12 to 18 as Parks Week in Saskatchewan. "Take A Hike" is the theme in 2008. Please take time to read a parks article, edit or create an article on Saskatchewan parks and hiking trails.
Articles Needing Attention
According to Wikipedia:Pages needing attention/Canada, a merger is proposed: Delta Bessborough or Hotel Bessborough join the discussion Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology needs clean up and citations. According to Articles with minor POV problems from February 2008 this pages need work: Prince Albert, Saskatchewan,Regina, Saskatchewan,Regina, Saskatchewan neighbourhoods Saskatchewan Bill of Rights introduction needs work. Saskatoon has a section needing citations. According to uncategorized Saskatoon Royal Connections needs categories Saskatchewan Isotope Laboratory needs to be wikified. Crystal Lake (Saskatchewan) , Kannata Valley, Saskatchewan are orphaned as few or no articles link to them. Briercrest College and Seminary and Saskatchewan River Sturgeon Management Board both need a re-write. List of Cree topics needs to be translated from English to Cree. Saskatchewan photographs needed.

Move images to commons From the US roas newsletter - A handy tool has been developed for moving images to the Commons. Work the Wiki Saskatchewan Work the Wiki Saskatchewan is an independent article about wikipedia and writing Saskatchewan articles for this encylopedia. Are there any comments in regards to work the wiki web site. Saskatchewan quick links template Add this template {{Saskatchewan quick links}} to your user page to give editors more information about Saskatchewan on Wikipedia. This template has been modeled after the {{Canadian quick links}} template. Canada wikimedia / Canada wikiproject on Commons Discussion started regarding a Wikicommons Canadian wikiproject to help create consistency amongst image naming and categories on commons for Canadian related images. This could also be cross wiki linked to Wikimedia Canada's project to organise drives to produce free photos of Canadian locations. Please comment about French English image description or naming for Canadian images to enable both the English and French wikipedias access to images for articles in either language. Class Project - Higher Education in Canada Please assist students of this Class project to wikify and produce citations for the various provincial articles coming online. The article for Saskatchewan has been started, and if there is any assistance you may be able to offer the students please mention it on the appropriate talk page. Watch also for tags on the articles such as AFD and guide the students for Wikipedia principles. Thank you.
Spotlight Department
Cccleo (talk · contribs) is the student who has created the Higher education in Saskatchewan article, a class project which has a deadline of June 30, 2008. The class project has improved wikipedia's coverage of higher education of Canada, and this article in particular is an excellent beginning for coverage of Higher education in Saskatchewan. A thank you and Saskatchewan wikiproject spotlight goes out to you at this time. Please feel free to sign up as a Spotlight administrator and nominate more excellent and notable Saskatchewan editors on Wikipedia who deserve attention, and honour. For every wikipedia user who is mentioned in the spotlight department, they will receive a Wikipedia Saskatchewan Ribbon on their user pages for excellent service! Discussion re commmunity or settlement started at WP CA noticeboard. .... FritzpollBot creating up to two million new articles which will give placenames an article page on wikipedia. There is also a discussion on the Canadian wikiproject discussion page about compiling a listing of incorporated placenames of Canada as a response to this discussion on the village pump. Please add to the Saskatchewan discussion about adding Saskatchewan placenames.
