The Composer of the Month for April is Friedrich von Flotow. This month marks the 200th anniversary of his birth.

• His biography article needs expansion and better referencing.
• Of his 30 operas, we only have articles on Alessandro Stradella and Martha. His breakthorugh opera was Le naufrage de la Méduse (1839) while his last major success was L'ombre which premiered at the Opéra-Comique in 1870.
• We also lack an article on Friedrich Wilhelm Riese, the librettist of Martha and Alessandro Stradella.
