Introductions
[edit]Greetings fellow WP:NJ'ers. I first started with tweaking the Teaneck page, but it has grown into a full-blown Wikipedia addiction centered on creating information about New Jersey and its government. To me, there are few better things that Wikipedia could be used for than to inform people about their government. I have made huge steps in that direction almost entirely on my own and I look forward to greater cooperation and interaction. Alansohn 21:37, 1 November 2005 (UTC)
Hi, I am ChrisRuvolo (t). I am from River Vale in Bergen County (both articles I've tried to make good contributions to). I have started some NJ related articles and uploaded a handful of maps of municipalities in Bergen County (others have been done by CharlieZeb (t c)). I no longer live in New Jersey, but after a long absence am back in the NYC metro area. I am a programmer by trade, so I can help out with scripts and such to generate articles like List of Municipalities in New Jersey (by population).
One thing I'd like to do but have not had time yet, is to verify the US census data for several pages. Several of the pages had been modified to exclude hispanics from the numbers of "whites" in the population data. I'd like to verify that these changes have all been reverted.
Alansohn, thanks for starting this WikiProject. Your contributions to date have been highly valuable. --ChrisRuvolo (t) 21:53, 1 November 2005 (UTC)
Hi, I am KevinHanse. I am from Pompton Plains, NJ (in northern Morris County) I am new to Wikipedia(joined on 11/3/05) and am excited to be helping with this project. Thanks to all my fellow NeWiki JerseyPidians for starting and continuing this project.

Hi, I'm Glenn Sieb. I'm from Randolph,_NJ, NJ (just west of Morristown, NJ in Morris County). I'm fairly new to Wikipedia, and would be happy to help fill in any information I can about this area. My family moved here in the late 60's, where I was raised, went to school (Ironia Elementary, Randolph Middle School, and Randolph_High_School_(New_Jersey)), and made a life. I'm so glad to see this project exists. Thanks! :)

Hello, I am Andy Zhu. I am attending J.P. Stevens High School in Edison, New Jersey. I hope to be of as much help as possible to this Wikiproject. My work related to this WP:NJ include History of New Jersey, New Jersey State House, and New Jersey State Constitution.
How's it going, everyone? I'm JHMM13 and I grew up in Montclair where I attended Montclair High School. I played hockey for the team there for four years and since graduating from MHS in 2003, I haven't spent too much time in Jersey. I'll be adding that Montclair High School article in a little while and I'll look around to find some other tasks to do for this project. Chat my talk page if you need me. - Hello guys, I grew up in Newark (currently reside in Union) and am currently attending Rutgers. I was really amazed by the work some people on this wikiproject did, especially with regards to the NJ legislature. Just a few months ago there was nothing on the members of the legislature and now I can look up my members and members from other districts without any problem. Anyway, I'll try and help with contributions about NJ state politicians and Congressmen from around the Union/Elizabeth and Newark area.-Jersey Devil 19:09, 13 January 2006 (UTC)
Hi all, I'm Paul, just came across this from the userboxes recently. Did a little stubbing and tagging on the circles and created an article for Watchung Circle. Just curious, what is the progress on the {{New-Jersey-stub}}? It says we have one but the templates don't exist :(. I've also put up a request for a {{New-Jersey-roads}}, see it here. I also created a new List of New Jersey highways, go ahead and add to it, I know I must have missed a lot. Lensovet 20:27, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Paul, moved this section down since this page is pretty much in chronological order. NJ-stub was never requested, AFAIK. Welcome! --ChrisRuvolo (t) 22:37, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
Hey everyone... my name is Ian. I grew up in North Bergen, and now live in Jackson. I've already made contributions to various NJ-related articles, including Jon Corzine, Jun Choi, Bob Menendez, The College of New Jersey, and Camden, New Jersey... and I hope to make many more. —chair lunch dinner™ (talk) 03:23, 13 February 2006 (UTC)
Hello, I'm Daniel Case, a 1986 graduate of Newark Academy who now lives not too far out of state in my adopted homeland, Upstate New York.
I have done a lot of work on NJ-related articles and am particularly interested in some subjects covered in Weird NJ magazine. I created the category for articles about subjects that magazine has covered extensively, and either created or significantly updated most of the articles in it (save Jersey Devil). You're welcome to look through and improve (I would love some images to go along with Action Park, for instance).
I also am a bit of a road geek and did a lot of work on New Jersey Route 24, the road I sort of grew up on, which as it turns out has an interesting history.
I have been all over the state (I'm one of a small group of people, at the moment, to have been to the highest point in every county in the state (and as a result I added that information to every county article). I look forward to adding what I can. Daniel Case 18:16, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
Hello, I'm Sholom and, apparently, an example of how you can't take the person out of NJ, but you can't tak the NJ out of the person. I left NJ in 1978, to grad school, a job, and now live in a suburb of Wash, DC. So, now it's been close to 30 years . . . but I still consider Maplewood, New Jersey my home. I graduated from Columbia High School (birthplace of Ultimate Frisbee). My small small contribution at this point is that after Alansohn started the county templates, I created Template:Essex County, New Jersey, and inserted it into all the municipalities in the county. (And, hey, Daniel, I grew up just blocks from where the old New Jersey Route 24 used to be called Springfield Ave.) I look forward to adding a bit here and there as time permits. Hi I'm Michael and I am currently attending J.P. Stevens High School in Edison, New Jersey. I guess I'm flexible. I'll look around for any anything to do. Ram32110 01:14, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
Hey there, I'm Jim and was born and raised in South Jersey for 20 years before relocating here to Florida. I have an extensive knowledge of South Jersey, particulary Salem, Gloucester, Cumberland, Atlantic, and Cape May counties, seeing as that's where I spent most of my time. I'm open for anything anyone wants to use me for, so please feel free to drop a line. In the meantime, I'm going to go through and make some much needed Project tags on quite a few articles I see are definitely NJ. Talk to you all soon! Jimbo 18:29, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
Hi, I'm PatricknoddyTALK (reply here)|HISTORY! I don't tell much about myself, but I am a good image maker! I could make some images for the project. - PatricknoddyTALK (reply here)|HISTORY 11:48, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
Hi, I'm Susan, I grew up in Sayreville. Although I spent several years attending college and living in Florida, I moved back to central NJ a few years ago. I enjoy taking pictures, particularly along the shore areas, so I was hoping I could contribute some images to the project, as well as anything else I find that I could contribute to article-wise. --Susan118 (talk) 23:22, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
Hi, I'm Christopher and I was born and raised in North Brunswick Township, New Jersey where I currently reside. I love NJ and always have so I would like to help as much as I can.
Hi, I'm TiMike (talk). I am originally from just outside Philadelphia, but have lived in Camden County, New Jersey for the past 11 years. I am primarily working on geographic and unreferenced article tasks.

I've known about Wikipedia since middle school (so since I was 15) and I am glad to be here I have already helped out on a few articles and fufilled two requests for articles so check 'em out.
