Progress Report and to-do (March 31, 2008)

[edit]

With ten days left, here's a progress report and to-do list for each article:

Progress Report (March 25, 2008)

[edit]

Another chance to take stock, as there are just a couple of weeks left. What follows are details of progress during the past week:

  • Augusto Roa Bastos: 29 edits, one active group member (of two). Remains at start-class. A couple of sources have been added, but more are urgently required.
  • Dictator novel: 38 edits, three active group members. Remains at B-class. Progress has been slow but steady. The "style and theme" section is the one that probably needs most attention.
  • Domingo Faustino Sarmiento: 28 edits, one active group member (of three). Remains at B-class. New sources have been added, but some weak ones remain and more sourcing is required.
  • El Señor Presidente: 100 edits, two active group members (of three). Now a Good Article. Inadvertently put in to Featured Article Candidacy; subsequently withdrawn. Some sources issues remain, and some stylistic issues too, but Manual of Style questions loom large.
  • Facundo: 45 edits, three active group members. Remains at B-class. Sources have been added, but expansion required, most urgently a full synopsis.
  • Gabriel García Márquez: 205 edits, three active group members. Remains at B-class. A huge amount of new material and sources have been added. Requires some formatting and editing, but coming close to GA review.
  • I, the Supreme: 71 edits, two active group members (of three). Remains at B-class. Now has some good, reliable sources, and probably not far to go before a Good Article nomination.
  • Latin American Boom: 111 edits, two active group members (of two). Remains at B-class. A number of good sources have been added. This article is taking shape, but structure still needs work.
  • Mario Vargas Llosa: 376 edits, three active group members. Remains at B-class, but now in Good Article Review. This has been a huge effort on the part of this group, and particularly Lincoln. We are mostly now waiting for a review.
  • Miguel Ángel Asturias: 84 edits, one active group member (of two). Remains at B-class, and still in Good Article Review. Still a couple of issues to be cleared up as part of the Good Article Review.
  • The Feast of the Goat: 57 edits, three active group members. Remains at start-class. This article is starting to take shape, but still has some way to go.
  • The General in His Labyrinth: 227 edits, three active group members. Remains at B-clss, but now in Good Article Review. A tremendous effort, above all from Eva and Carla. A few issues remain, above all the book synopsis.

So there has been a decent amount of progress pretty much everywhere across the project. Let's see a bunch more Good Article nominations this week!

Progress Report (March 16, 2008)

[edit]

This seems a good time to take stock, before we start on the final straight towards (hopefully) Feature Article status. What follows is an account of each article's progress in 2008 to date:

So there has been a decent amount of progress. We just need to keep it up!
