This is a list of notable albums that were not covered in Wikipedia. The notability of the album is defined by one or more of the following criteria: critical acclaim, large album sales or recognition as one of the best in its genre. Some of the albums already have existing articles about them but needed to be redirected.
This page was created on 8 November 2005 and completed on 8 August 2009. This list started with 2,972 albums. It was reopened on 16 March 2012 with newly identified missing notable albums.
If you are creating a new album, please follow the guidelines at WikiProject Albums. If you don't have time to create an article with a full infobox please put
{{Album
|class=stub
|importance=
|attention=
|needs-infobox=yes
|auto=
}}
on the talk page to alert others that an infobox is needed.
If the album has an infobox (it does not need to be complete) only then remove it from the list.
