The regular article news section of this edition of the Bugle highlights an unusually large number of new featured pictures (including the project's 300th FP) and an impressive crop of new featured articles. TomStar81 also continues his excellent World War I timeline, which this month's section drawing our attention to many of the little-remembered battles from the early, and highly fluid, stage of the fighting on the western front. The book review section includes a very varied round-up of recent military history book reviews which have appeared in the media, as well as a review by Nick-D of a book on how the British government organised itself to victory in the French Revolutionary Wars and Napoleonic Wars.
The contest department completed its 87th round of competition last month. A total of 68 articles were submitted by 10 editors. AustralianRupert came first with 114 points from 22 articles to receive the Chevrons, followed by Parsecboy, who earned the Writer's Barnstar with 92 points from 11 entries. Honourable mentions go to Zawed (62 points), Peacemaker67 (43 points) and Tomobe03 (26 points). Djmaschek, Catlemur, Lineagegeek, Auntieruth55 and Ian Rose also fielded entries.
