  2. Bruno Julliard Any proofers out there? I see 82 other members of this WikiProject. :) BuddingJournalist 08:39, 1 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  3. Anti Gravity Surprise (AGS) Read like a brochure before. Hopefully it's a bit better. BuddingJournalist 06:39, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  4. Alagoinha A somewhat odd one on a Brazilian city. BuddingJournalist 07:59, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  5. 13th Panzer Division (Germany) An over-reliance on the passive voice in this one. BuddingJournalist 00:57, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  6. Alyosha Andonov Extremely short. BuddingJournalist 03:33, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  7. American Society of Criminology Kind of a cross between a brochure and a summary of the group's meetings. BuddingJournalist 07:18, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  8. Benjamin Holman The whole thing was a copyright violation before. BuddingJournalist 01:17, 2 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  9. A Rumor of War Read like a book report full of analysis before. It should be much better now. BuddingJournalist 01:48, 1 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  10. Bani Assad Unfortunately, the history section is a bit lacking. BuddingJournalist 09:18, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  11. Battle of Chuvash Cape Another machine translation. BuddingJournalist 07:50, 1 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  12. Antofagasta, Chile I had to resort to a revert to rid some obnoxiously incoherent, machine-translated text. BuddingJournalist 07:19, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  13. Brighton East, Victoria Was a ridiculously flattering advertisement. Now it's just ridiculously boring. BuddingJournalist 09:08, 1 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  17. Bosnia and Herzegovina#Economy Just this section was tagged. I tried doing the last article in the "A" section in the backlog, but my eyes glazed over. Help in clearing the last "A" article would be appreciated! BuddingJournalist 09:05, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  18. Dalek has been on FAR for over a month two months now. The originally expressed concern was insufficient citations, which has (I think) been addressed, but late in the day concerns were aired about the quality of the prose: specifically that it was overly wordy and redundant in spots. I've tried to trim a bit, but I have an unfortunate tendency towards prolixity myself. I think we're past the point when the FAR would normally have been closed, but it's still open at the moment — therefore I'd appreciate it if someone gave this a copyediting fairly soon. Contact me on my talk page if you have any questions — thanks! —Josiah Rowe (talkcontribs) 04:25, 20 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  19. Same-sex marriage in Spain It has been copyedited and proofread by members of this project, but now at FAC some editors seem to find some prose issues still relevant. _Please_ someone help and copyedit it or tell me if it's okay as it is. Please! Cheers Raystorm 02:01, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  20. Culture of California 1800s to mid 1900s I do not knoy why my article needs the copyedit tag. I do know that some sentences need repair and some of the lead needs clean-up. There are some choppy sentences in the text. Other than that I don't know hat else needs copyedit. Please inform me and help me. Showmanship is the key 01:01, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  21. I Not Stupid When failing this article's GA nomination, ExplorerCDT criticised the prose. The main criticism was "too many two-sentence paragraphs and short sections". I filed a GA review requesting for further clarification, and Wisekwai referred me here. This article has already undergone a thorough copyedit by E@L, but a copyedit by English experts, to ensure GA-quality prose, would be most appreciated. --J.L.W.S. The Special One 13:35, 4 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  22. Cad Operator British things. BuddingJournalist 08:09, 2 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
     Done Galena11 19:06, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  24. David C. Schilling BuddingJournalist 07:34, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  27. Happy John Uvwiefenigwere Neat name. Couldn't do much with the resume-like list at the end though. BuddingJournalist 02:34, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  28. HMAS Barcoo (K375) Decided to rewrite and expand this one. Rintrah: I believe "laid down" and "launched" are standard shipbuilding terms. Not sure if links exist though. BuddingJournalist 03:49, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  29. Andrei Kerestely Short. BuddingJournalist 05:37, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  30. Graffadi Short, interesting article. BuddingJournalist 06:16, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  31. Roe v. Wade came to FAR for lack of citations, and has an editor who is willing and able to reference the article; he's made a great deal of progress. The prose, however, is redundant, preachy, and at times descends into advocacy rather than encyclopedic prose. The editor is willing to do the referencing work, but we really need some serious copyedit help to tighten up and polish the prose. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 21:39, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  32. Aarne Honkavaara Still a bit overly-fawning. BuddingJournalist 07:16, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  33. Peter Jennings - Been working on this one for a while; hope to submit this to FAC some time in the near future. Could definitely use fresh eyes though. Peer review is here. Gzkn 09:00, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  34. Leona Helmsley The article wasn't so bad. I removed a few unsourced, potentially slanderous statements, added some references, and clean up some awkward sentences. Jehochman (Talk/Contrib) 17:35, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  35. Dentren is a prolific new contributor whose work might benefit from an editor's touch. See Special:Contributions/Dentren if you're interested in following up on some of his contribs. Note he's not a fluent English user, but does pretty well ... be encouraging, I think WP could do well with a lot more users like him(?). --JAXHERE | Talk 03:12, 20 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  36. List of Hispanic porn stars - It's a bit better now, but there wasn't much I could do to begin with. Take a look if you want and make any edits you feel are necessary. // PoeticDecay 22:08, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Done I think she's hot and wierd, "although she seems to prefer the latter". :-) — Deckiller 09:20, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    Hey! That is a professionally copyedited clause. :-) Rintrah 09:29, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Done Hah, yeah. I actually thought this must have been a name of some band; didn't occur to me that this was actually about submarines. BuddingJournalist 12:34, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  56. Filling factor Not sure what else to do with this silly little article. It is effectively one sentence long, yet it is a mess. Rintrah 13:23, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Done I guess. Heh, if we copy-edited it, we'd probably just give the term the wrong definition. Let's leave this one for the experts. BuddingJournalist 13:54, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Erm, I did. I have some background in mathematics and physics, though. Rintrah 14:29, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  60. Hunting strategy Removed silly euphemisms. Found my first double-split infinitive. Rintrah 04:50, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Done I did a bit of minor cleanup, mostly italicizing titles as per MOS:T. Slightly reorganized Gameplay section to remove duplication. –Dvandersluis 21:42, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  63. Panavision also been on FAR for more than a month, and not much attention was given to it until last Friday. I have added 50 citations, but cannot find a cite for this sentence: Subsequent Ultra Panavision films were Mutiny on the Bounty (1962), It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1963), The Fall of the Roman Empire (1964), Battle of the Bulge (1965), The Greatest Story Ever Told (1965), The Hallelujah Trail (1965), and Khartoum (1966). Virtually all 70 mm prints of these films still in circulation are straight spherical (2.20 ratio), however, due to the rarity of 1.25x anamorphosers for 70 mm projectors today. Additionally, could somebody please go through the article for a copy edit? I did it myself, while I was referencing, but am afraid I might have overlooked something. The FARC will probably close on Monday. Thanks, and feel free to message me is you need any assistance. Jeffpw 22:44, 20 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
While it was originally submitted to FAR for citation problems, objections have now been raised for its prose. Tony1 has said the issues are minor, and it probably wouldn't take the LoC long to polish it. I do hope somebody here can take a look at it, as I don't think myself capable of addressing the issues. Another contributer is already working on it, but attention from the LoC would be highly appreciated. It would be a shame for such an interesting article to lose its Featured status. Jeffpw 11:16, 22 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Panavision is mostly cited and cleaned up and could use a copyeditor's review now. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 14:22, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Panavision has received a huge effort to retain FA status over the last two months, it is now throughly cited and cleaned up, but it could really use some copyedit help on the prose. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 14:43, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Several have been through - this one can be archived somewhere. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 18:47, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

MOVE - this article is no longer at FAC - FAC failed. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 19:25, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  65. Delhi has gone through peer review and is currently in FAC where it has been suggested by Pascal.Tesson that the article should be submitted here in the league. The article needs someone who is not much well-versed with the topic. I feel the article may be trimmed further. There is some concern about a particular section "Culture", which may need much more than simple copyedit. The section may need thorough re-writing and content enhancement. However, I do not request that to be done by the League. Copyediting of at least the rest of the article is requested. Regards.--Dwaipayan (talk) 06:03, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Specific concerns on Delhi: Some specific concerns have been raised in the FAC, such as an audit of prepositions, toning down of bloated words, word redundancy, ungainly snaking etc. Please see this post in the FAC. Thanks.--Dwaipayan (talk) 13:20, 17 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
This is no longer at FAC - is there an archive here for these older cases? Same for University College above. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 14:22, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  67. Haussmann's renovation of Paris I went through this quickly and made minor changes. Not sure why it was tagged. Rintrah 14:43, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  73. Palatina of Troyes: I changed "the patrician" to "a patrician" because, as far as I know, patricians formed a caste and there was no leader called "the patrician". If anyone knows more about Roman history than I, and knows I am wrong, please change it back. Rintrah 08:54, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  74. Boston Early Clock Industry (Willard Brothers) I really wanted to use the word "accoutrement" in this article, but the OED tells me it's generally reserved for clothing. :( BuddingJournalist 03:57, 2 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  79. Classical liberalism This one is a political minefield and only the most steadfast editor should attempt it. Gobs of sources to check. I'll give you my soul if you help.Shawn Fitzgibbons 13:49, 25 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
    • Not exactly done yet. I've cleaned up the lead and bio section. I think, however, we should have a History section.
  80. Funeral home I'd be interested in reading more about the history of funeral homes, but alas, this article does not discuss it. BuddingJournalist 07:42, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  81. Whittaker Chambers - an editor has assumed ownership of this article and reverts attempts to copyedit it. Problems include missing commas, use of contractions, placing 'of' between month and year (ie. January of 1944), and finally removing the 'copyedit' tag I added to the article after his reversions. Thanks Hmains 05:09, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Unless you want to report him, I'm not sure there's much we can do. He's been blocked for violating 3RR before...
I've tagged it again and have attempted to plead our case for copyedit on the talk page. IrisWings 07:37, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

    I believe so.--SidiLemine 13:46, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

    • I am an insomniac, and on free-to-air TV at the graveyard hours, the only shows on are infomercials, grab-your-money game shows, evangelical TV, and, occassionally, pool championships. So the short answer is yes: I occassionally watch pool championships. On a side note, I am not sure why television stations of my country, Australia, like to import American fire-and-brimstone evangelical TV for the most unholy hours of the morning. •  Done It looks pretentious. The article still reads like an ad because of all the wow-listen-to-this jargon. At any rate, I don't want a car with a misspelled word. Rintrah 08:10, 14 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  108. Ginger Snaps: It managed to pass GA nomination, but the prose was a major sticking point. I've tried copyediting it, but the tone still needs to be made more formal and encyclopedic.--Supernumerary 22:01, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  110. Ohio Wesleyan University has gone through several Peer review cycles and two Featured Article Reviews. I will nominate it for FAC in the next few days but I need some help with copyediting. • I'll take a look at this one on Tuesday or Wednesday--need to review the FAC guidelines, etc before I dive in! Galena11 17:50, 8 January 2007 (UTC) Looks like Rintrah's got this under control. :o) Galena11 22:27, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  115. Load bearing wall I started working on it, but most of the article is written as an informal how-to. The relevant info (there isn't much) needs to be pulled out and the non-encyclopedic parts (most of the article) need to be removed. Grhs126studenttalk 22:59, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  116. Hurricane Isaac (2006) Just finished copyediting the article when User:Raymond_armitt copyedited a day before me, which makes me think the article needs more to much work and is mediocre in certain ways. Its a start class and I have read many good Cyclone articles and this should be bumped to B-Class or GA class. Mainly what I did was change Issac to the correct form of Isaac. 117. Beslan school hostage crisis A long one, although generally well written. Up to "Hostage taking" "Day 2" "Versions of the initial events" "Chechen separatists" "Official investigations". BuddingJournalist 03:55, 14 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  118. Head-up display up to Types Experimental Uses. I am also going through and adding citations where needed. I had a question in the talk page. Talk it up during proofing? Thanks. John Pouliot 02:12, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  119. Great Barrier Reef - after gaining GA status, I expanded the "Geology and Geography" section and I'd just like to know if that section's comprehensible to non-geologists. Thanks. -Malkinann 21:29, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  120. Chinese armies in the Second Sino-Japanese War: I have almost copyedited the entire article, but the Chinese Air Force section has rather silly language I cannot be bothered amending. There is not much left to do in the article. I have already done enough work on it and I do not have much experience with military articles. Rintrah 13:26, 21 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I have worked on this several times, but the Air Force section is defiant. Should this be made into paragraphs? Hmains 22:00, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know. Perhaps we should delete chunks of it, since it mostly consists of randoms facts. Perhaps we should group related facts together. I don't know...
Took a look at it. The problem is in forming some sort of coherent narrative. Perhaps a start could be made by breaking it up into sections, fighters and bombers, and other aircraft (e.g. transports, trainers, etc.) if there is mention of those. Move mention of these types of aircraft into their respective sections, then have the narrative flow chronologically. --BrokenSphere 02:49, 21 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I also had a try. The Air Force section shouldnt be deleted, but maybe separation from the rest of the article would help the rest, for the rest is in better shape.DGG 03:40, 21 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've cleaned up the list of aircraft used, so at least that part looks better for now, maybe the list of armored vehicles should look the same. I'm also thinking the armored vehicles and air force sections should have their own pages. --BrokenSphere 03:46, 21 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The Aircraft section is ugly as hell, primarily because the list was not amenable to paragraphs. Anyone wish to take on this nightmare? Rintrah 10:11, 11 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Done I got the air force section as good as it can be, I think, and proofed the rest. Galena11 22:48, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  124. Forever Odd Copyedited everything except Plot summary—which, according to the tag, is possibly a copyright violation. I am unsure about a statement that two characters talk on a phone sex line about ghosts—is it vandalism, or is it indeed true? Rintrah 12:07, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I looked at that one and wasn't sure whether the dubious Plot section would be worth copyediting (although it certainly needs it). Perhaps a quick copyedit and mark odd sentences with {{fact}}?
Perhaps we shouldn't be so cowardly and just delete the whole thing, and then summarise it in fewer sentences—with less sweat, too. Sometimes a copyeditor needs to know when to wield an axe. Rintrah 14:59, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Upon my request, the main contributor has shortened the plot. It just needs someone to copyedit it, which shouldn't present too much difficulty. Rintrah 06:10, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Did my best; ready for proof. BuddingJournalist 06:31, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Did a couple of punctuation tweaks but until someone confirms or rebuts the 'phone sex' thing this is likely to stay open for a long time. Almost tempted to read the book...if only to find out where that mountain lion came from! Greenglen 16:02, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  151. Monaco Grand Prix Current GA which has recently been placed on FAC. It's up to the normal standard produced by WikiProject Formula One, but I tend to feel that prose isn't our strongest point as a Wikiproject, so I'd be very grateful if someone more expert could look at it. Thanks. 4u1e 19:25, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    • Criterion 1a has now been raised as part of an object. 4u1e
      • Can I place this on hold? Work on references is revealing more problems than I thought existed. If 'holding' is not an option, I'm happy to give up my place in the queue and return later. Cheers. 4u1e 22 February 2007 16:44
        • Pulling this from the "active" list, since our agreed policy is to not c/e an article that needs any other work. Left a note for 4u1e encouraging a "re-list" when the article's ready. Galena11 18:12, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
