Impressive!

I am very happy to see the progression. I think it is great how we can all come together to make something even better.

Electric Japan (talk) 05:36, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

Thanks, Electric Japan. It has been a rocky road to recreate the site to this point, but I am quite happy with how it has turned out. hornoir (talk) 11:02, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

B-Class criteria

The {{HorrorWikiProject}} banner now has a B-Class criteria checklist within it. In two weeks, I'll make the template force check criteria before granting a B-Class rating… but I don't want to do that yet and thus force-change all B-Class articles to C-Class articles. If you fine folks could start checking current class holders for criteria, that would be great: B-Class horror articles. While they won't be affected, all FA-Class horror articles, A-Class horror articles, and GA-Class horror articles should be checked too.

I think we are the first project to have all six criteria checks requested (yes, it went from five to six). Thanks for any and all help. hornoir (talk) 12:24, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

All B-Class articles that haven't been checked now list in the banner as C-Class, but they are still Categorized as B-Class. This will change in a couple of weeks, but I want to give time to allow the criteria to be properly checked by users. hornoir (talk) 14:30, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

March Collaboration of the Month

The March Collaboration of the Month has been selected as The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. Please help improve this article towards featured article standard. hornoir (talk) 02:16, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

PIERCE

Hi! Seems there is something not so "WIKI" on the Jack Pierce talk page.

Any of you good people mind takin' a look.

Thanks, Electric Japan (talk) 12:04, 19 March 2009 (UTC)

Are you referring to the WikiProject Disambiguation banner? If so, then that is fine; it is a WikiProject (like us) except all that they do is ensure that disambiguation pages are properly maintained.
If that was not what you were referring to, you'll need to a bit more specific. Sorry. hornoir (talk) 11:06, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

Peer review

I noticed that EclipseSSD (talk · contribs) created Wikipedia:WikiProject Horror/Review/The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, making me aware of how WP:HORROR has set up its review process. I would like to suggest that the WikiProject sets up peer reviews through the general process and transclude|s the peer reviews on a WikiProject page focused on peer reviews. For example, an editor created a peer review for The Ninth Gate through the general process, and I transcluded the review at the PR page for WikiProject Films. This is more beneficial because editors outside the WikiProject can weigh in with outside opinions, and transcluding cuts down on the bureaucratic work of maintaining peer review pages within the WikiProject. All the meanwhile, the review can still be announced throughout the WikiProject for the opinions of WikiProject members, too. —Erik (talkcontrib) 18:03, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

Dead Rising

In no way are they horror. Just because they include zombies doesn't mean they are. Its a humor game. False info. Did the person who included that is someone who has never played the game but just looked at the websites false info? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 60.228.40.54 (talk) 00:20, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

I added the tag, and did so for good reasons, after spending hours playing the game. It contains hundreds of flesh-eating zombies as well as psychopaths such as a butcher who butchers other survivors, it's central theme is based on one of the most influential horror movies, Dawn of the Dead. That it contains humour, orange juice, footballs and a Mega Man outfit has zero relevance on whether it could be considered horror or not. Someoneanother 03:04, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

Frankenstein GAR notice

Frankenstein has been nominated for a good article reassessment. Please leave your comments and help us to return the article to good article quality. If concerns are not addressed during the review period, the good article status will be removed from the article. Reviewers' concerns are here.

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sorry! I've created a task force without alerting you! It's at Wikipedia:WikiProject Horror/Krueger task force. I'm trying to get some other members to back it up. I'm sure we'll have 10 in no time though! Again, Sorry! It will be very useful soon though! ISTHnR | Knock Knock | Who's There? 03:06, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

Status and CotM

This project, although given a new breath of life earlier this year, seems to have slowed down quite a bit. There doesn't seem to be much activity going on within the department itself. Also, I think it's best if The Texas Chain Saw Massacre was removed as the CotM, becuase very few people are actually contributing to it, and another article should be selected. I've also placed a request on the Assessments page for it (TCM) to be an A-class article. --EclipseSSD (talk) 10:11, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

GA reassessment of Botan Dōrō

I have conducted a reassessment of the above article as part of the GA Sweeps process. I have found some concerns with the referencing which you can see at Talk:Botan Dōrō/GA1. I have placed the article on hold whilst these are fixed. Thanks. Jezhotwells (talk) 16:41, 28 July 2009 (UTC)

Lunchmeat VHS

Got a notice on Talk:Lunchmeat_VHS for inclusion. Would be happy to have this article become a part of this project, although I have to admit that Lunchmeat VHS is not yet of the importance of magazines like Fangoria or Rue Morgue. SlapAyoda (talk) 15:48, 21 June 2011 (UTC)

Interesting. Looks good. Would you consider joining the project?--Tærkast (Discuss) 11:18, 3 July 2011 (UTC)

Hello. I thought I'd let any interested wikiproject horror participants know that The Human Centipede is a featured article candidate. So far there have been a couple of supports, but any more comments would be very much appreciated. Check out the review at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/The Human Centipede (First Sequence)/archive3. It's a great article so please come and have a look. cya Coolug (talk) 09:33, 9 September 2011 (UTC)

Task Force Proposal - Halloween

Hi, I would like to propose a new task force dedicated to the Halloween franchise. I would like help from the communityl. Does anyone else think this is a good idea?

--Samus Fan102 (talk) 04:06, 28 December 2011 (UTC)

The article The Vampire Diaries (novel series) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No third-party, independent sources demonstrate notability of the novel series independent of the TV series.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Rotideypoc41352 (talk) 07:47, 17 April 2013 (UTC)

Please disregard; PROD removed. See discussion at WP:Novels. Rotideypoc41352 (talk) 05:58, 19 April 2013 (UTC)

Campfire Tales

Just as a quick note ... there is a page for Campfire Tales (1991) ... ... but there is also an exact same title movie Campfire Tales (1997) that has been overlooked.
