Wikipedia:Good articles/GAN Backlog Drives/September-November 2007
This drive will begin on September 1, 2007, and run until November 30, 2007. The coordinators for this drive are: Dr. Cash, Drewcifer, any other volunteers?. If you have any questions, leave a message in the drive's talk page. Eligibility and rules[edit]Any registered user of the English Wikipedia is eligible to participate in this contest. Anonymous editors are not permitted to review articles, and therefore are ineligible, but are more than welcome to register for an account. Please make sure that you read the whole process of Good Article review before starting to review an article. Please write clear, concise, and complete reviews on each article listed. Remember, the #1 goal of the Good Article process is to contribute to the overall improvement of the encyclopedia as a whole. Short reviews and quick passes, such as, "the article was good" or "the article meets the GA criteria", are not helpful to editors in the overall process of improving the article past GA status and towards the ultimate goal of featured status. Reviews of articles that are subsequently listed at WP:GAR and delisted will not be counted towards your total reviews. One point (1) will be given for each pass/fail. Quick-fail will not be counted. If necessary, you can put the article on hold if the article needs to be edited further to be passed, and you will receive one half point (0.5) for each article currently on hold. Please follow up with on holds. Only article reviews completed during the review drive time period; 00:00 1 September 2007 (UTC) and 23:59 30 November 2007 (UTC), are eligible to be included in the running total. Attention: Consider using {{ArticleHistory}} instead of {{GA}} so that others can follow the article's milestones (such as peer review, FAC, etc.) in addition to GAC. If you added {{GA}} on an article, please go back and replace it with {{ArticleHistory}}. Be sure to follow the syntax properly to allow the template to display correctly. Progress[edit]
Awards[edit]Several awards will be distributed throughout the course of the drive. The following awards will be awarded at the end of each month:
A limited number of special barnstars may be awarded at the discretion of the coordinators at various times during the drive. These barnstars may be given for some small tasks, such as reviewing an article that has been listed as 'not reviewed' for 3-4 weeks, reviewing a particularly long article, etc. At the conclusion of the drive on November 30, 2007, one Golden Wiki Award, two Silver Wiki Awards, and three Bronze Wiki Awards, will be given to the reviewers who have achieved the highest quantity AND quality of reviews. To receive an award, please include your name and the number of reviews you have completed during the 00:00 1 September 2007 (UTC) and 23:59 30 November 2007 (UTC) in the Running Total section of this page. Please keep a running total next to your name. Running total[edit]Once you have passed or failed the article after putting it on hold, include your review below. Please state if the article is a pass, fail, or on hold. Articles marked with an asterisk (*) indicates an enquiry by a coordinator is taking place. Add your name to the list below according to the following format: # '''{{user2|Your User Name}}''' (running total count) [[Article reviewed]] ('''pass'''/'''fail'''/'''on hold'''),... |
