Johann Sebastian Bach was born on 21 March 1685 (JC) in Eisenach. He was a German composer of Baroque music and, even in his own day, was a famous organist and cembalist. He worked from 1717 to 1720 inter alia in Köthen. Today Bach is one of the greatest musical composers of all time, who has considerable influence on the music world and whose works have been played both in the original and in countless adaptations around the world.
