Points to note:

  • Individual cells of the table are coloured as per template:F1 driver results legend 2
  • The contents of the Entrant, Chassis and Engine columns are bold
  • The contents of the Year column are not bold
  • The contents of the WDC and Points columns are bold; if the driver finished 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the WDC, the background of the WDC and Points columns are made gold, silver or bronze, as appropriate
  • In the Chassis column, the "constructor" part of the Chassis links to the constructor; the "type" part of the Chassis links to an article covering the individual type (if one exists), e.g. for "Tyrrell 011", "Tyrrell" links to Tyrrell Racing; "011" links to Tyrrell 011
  • The Entrant column contains the specific name of the entrant for that season, rather than the "generic" name of the team, e.g. "Benetton Tyrrell Team" rather than "Tyrrell Racing"
  • If a sponsor's name forms part of the Entrant, link the "sponsor part" of the Entrant to an article about the sponsor; link the rest of the Entrant to the team, e.g. in "Benetton Tyrrell Team", "Benetton" links to Benetton Group and "Tyrrell Team" links to Tyrrell Racing
  • How much detail to put in the Engine column is still under discussion, e.g. for a Renault RS01, should we just write "Renault" or "Renault RS01 3.5 V10" ?
  • Race abbreviations as per this table.
  • Races a driver missed through injury are left blank, they are not indicated by "Inj", per this discussion
  • Races a driver missed through being banned (e.g. Michael Schumacher being banned from the 1994 Italian and Portuguese Grands Prix) are left blank, they are not indicated by "EX". "EX" is used when a driver initially participates in a race meeting, but is excluded for some transgression, e.g. Andrea de Cesaris being excluded from the 1983 Brazilian Grand Prix after failing to stop for a weight check during Saturday qualifying.
  • The pole position and fastest lap notes are only included where relevant

Points to note:

  • Individual cells of the table are coloured as per template:F1 driver results legend 5
  • The formatting of the race results for pole/fastest lap is done by using {{F1 race position}}
  • The contents of the Points and WCC columns are bold; the contents of the other columns are not bold
  • If the constructor/team finished 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the WCC, the background of the WCC and Points columns are made gold, silver or bronze, as appropriate
  • The Chassis column includes the constructor name; for this example (Jordan) it might seem a bit redundant, but it isn't for teams like Scuderia Italia, which ran different constructors' chassis from year to year.
  • The Engine column contains the engine manufacturer (e.g. "Hart") and configuration (e.g. "V10"); each of which are appropriately wikilinked. Although the topic is still under discussion.
  • Race abbreviations as per this table.
  • Race results are in standard size font (not <small> as in the Drivers results table) – this is because the bolding and italics don't show up for some people when small font is used.
  • Races a driver missed through injury are left blank, they are not indicated by "Inj", per this discussion
  • The pole position and fastest lap notes are only included where relevant

Points to note:

  • Individual cells of the table are coloured as per template:F1 driver results legend 5
  • Formating to reflect pole/fastest lap is done by {{F1 race position}}
  • The contents of the Points and WCC columns are bold; the contents of the Year, Team, Engine, Tyres and Drivers columns are not bold
  • If the constructor finished 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the WCC, the background of the WCC and Points columns are made gold, silver or bronze, as appropriate
  • The "short form" of the team name (e.g. "Ferrari" rather than "Scuderia Ferrari") is used, to minimise the table width
  • The Engine column contains the engine manufacturer (e.g. "Hart") and configuration (e.g. "V10"); each of which are appropriately wikilinked. Although the topic is still under discussion.
  • If there are chassis variants, the "Team" column is replaced by a "Chassis" column.
  • As at August 2010, there is a degree of inconsistency among the existing articles:
    • Some have the driver surname only, centrally aligned with no flag; others have the full name, left aligned with a flag
    • Some have the "Team" column labelled as "Entrant" instead
    • Some have the full entrant name instead of the "short name"
    • For tables with chassis variants, some have Team/Entrant and Chassis columns

Points to note:

  • The contents of the Pos and Points columns are bold
  • The contents of the Driver and Team columns are bold for points-scorers
  • Driver, chassis constructor and engine manufacturer are wikilinked. All instances of constructor and engine manufacturer are wikilinked, noting that Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Linking#Repeated links specifically permits this practice in tables.
  • The Laps, Time/Retired, Grid and Points columns are left blank for drivers who failed to qualify or pre-qualify
  • Capitalization in the Time/Retired column follows normal sentence rules: the first letter is caps, the rest are not (unless a proper name); the "l" in "+X lap(s)" is lower case

Championship standings after the race

[edit]
  • Note: Only the top five positions are included for both sets of standings.

Points to note:

  • Only the top five are listed for both championships.
  • If fewer than 5 drivers/constructors have scored points (e.g. at the first race of the season), only those drivers/constructors who have scored points are listed, per this discussion.
  • The (unlabelled) "position change" column (refer to this discussion) is not included for the first race of the season.
  • For 1950–1957 (when there was no Constructors' Championship), only the Drivers' table is displayed and the section is entitled "Drivers' Championship standings after the race", per this discussion.
