Welcome to WikiProject Florida International University, this is a WikiProject that has been set up to better organize and present information in all articles related to Florida International University and the FIU Panthers. This project is never-ending, and all are welcome to contribute...
This project will help to focus the efforts of other Wikipedians to improve all FIU-related articles in order to make Wikipedia an excellent resource for Florida International University and the FIU Panthers information for all who visit. If you would like to help, please inquire on the talk page and see the to-do list there.
Scope and Goals
[edit]The scope of this project is Florida International University, its history, its people (faculty, students, alumni, etc.), its schools, its alumni, and its culture. This project is designed to help those interested in improving all of the FIU-related articles on Wikipedia to find a particular area in which they are interested in working. As Florida International University is a broad subject, there are many sub-projects and collaborations in which you can participate.
Reminder: All are welcome to make changes!!!
Goals
[edit]- Institution
- Standardize articles related to FIU
- Create articles related to the culture of FIU and traditions that have been developed (FIUSM.com and The Beacon should be great sources for this)
- Highlight research projects and contributions FIU has made to society and the world
- Expand our multimedia (logos, photos, etc.)
- Properly cite statements made in FIU related articles (see WP:CITE)
- Document FIU administrative staff and faculty (past and present)
- Athletics
- Clean up and standardize articles related to the FIU Golden Panthers
- Create season pages for all FIU Golden Panthers football seasons
- Organize pages for other FIU athletics teams
- Remove season-specific information and put them into their respective season pages
