Welcome to the Galápagos Islands task force of WikiProject Ecuador! The task force coordinators include TShilo12 (talk).
This task force was formed to foster better articles on the Galápagos Islands with a spirit of cooperation. This page and its subpages contain suggestions on formatting and layout of articles, which can be discussed at the project's talk page. To participate, simply add your name at the participants section.
Scope
[edit]This project covers the creation and editing of articles related to the Galápagos Islands, a well-known Pacific Ocean archipelago. It aims to expand Wikipedia's resources on the Galápagos Islands in a fair and accurate manner. These articles include those on its geography, geology, zoölogy, transportation, culture, history, etc.

The above should be merged into one or more sections on political geography, due to the fact that it is not feasible to compare the Galapagos Islands with other archipelago's, because of their small number of people, relative lack of an economy, etc. The main focus of the task force should be the conservation, wildlife, etc. --Pico del Teide 12:05, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
