- Why do you want to start a new group, instead of joining one of these existing groups?
- I want to start a new, dedicated group for the TV show. Editors are interested and I believe it will prosper. Avenue X at Cicero (talk) 20:22, 17 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- Kevinbrogers (talk) 21:11, 19 September 2011 (UTC) I'd definitely join the project. I'd like to see this happen and think it could greatly benefit multiple related articles.[reply]
- DReifGalaxyM31 (talk) 19:03, 22 September 2011 (UTC) I'm definitely joining this project, both because I think Wikipedia needs more coverage of this subject but also because I am a very BIG fan of the show. **Also, as for a symbol of choice, perhaps an image of a box of handwipes or something. DReifGalaxyM31 (talk) 18:00, 7 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Toa Nidhiki05 00:28, 18 November 2011 (UTC) I support wholeheartedly. The fact a notable television show such as this has only 12 episode articles and few (if any) GAs proves the Television WikiProject is not the best place for this franchise to be based. Discussion
[edit]- I'd recommend keeping this within Wikipedia:WikiProject Television. Single TV programme projects rarely succeed, especially when there is little initial support as here. --Kleinzach 00:09, 7 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- 30-ish articles in total.. 12 episode articles, 8 season articles, an episode list, main article, 7 character/cast pages and a couple of other low-importance articles isn't enough to sustain a Wikiproject. Wikipedia:WikiProject Television has everything you need from an official MOS:TV, guidelines for writing about fiction, a dedicated team of users willing to answer questions and provide advice. Why do Monk-related articles need to start afresh with a brand new Wikiproject? What will it offer that WP:TV doesn't/can't? Create a taskforce, round up your members, and use WP:TV. If has everything you need. Matthewedwards : Chat 02:49, 4 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- This needs a different name, considering that there's alot of Monks around. Say "WikiProject Monk (TV series)" 65.92.182.149 (talk) 09:05, 16 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
