  1. Iazyges As there's already a science fiction wiki project, the science fiction film should be a task force of it.

This should be a taskforce of WP:WikiProject Science Fiction (and, in a redirect way, of WP:WikiProject Film); there is no need for a whole wikiproject on this, and it doesn't have enough interested parties to survive, especially given that the proponent is not a native English speaker, and presumably won't do much editing on en.wikipedia. A central problem with proposals like this is that this isn't really ai discrete topic in any meaningful sense; sci-fi films are simply one medium of sci-fi, and more often than not the more notable entries in the genre are directly tied to broader franchises, to TV shows, comics, novels, games, etc. In 1960, maybe an idea like this would have made sense, but in 2016, it's the story/franchise that matters, and editors mostly focus on that and ensuring that the coverage of it in the relevant different media is adequate.  — SMcCandlish ☺ ☏ ¢ ≽ʌⱷ҅ᴥⱷʌ≼  11:52, 13 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
