Identify the subject: Rabbits in the real world, in fictional media, in literature, and in biology. Plus hares and jackrabbits and the sort.

Why do you want to start a new group, instead of joining one of these existing groups?

The coverage of rabbits in greatly insufficient. Plus, dogs and cats have their own projects, other general animal classifications also need their own as well.

Though the nominator has now been blocked for ban evasion - something I hope unrelated to the idea of a Rabbit WikiProject - I would like to add my support for the idea. This is what I suggested about a year ago. It's just an idea but I thought I might as well repeat it

   Create new page(s):
       Rabbit care and nutrition (to include housing, coprophagy and digestive system)
       Rabbit health and diseases (to include vet care, use of disease as control, etc)
       Rabbit breeding and genetics
   Improve rabbit by moving information to european rabbit (e.g. info about domestic rabbits) and adding in more non-european rabbit specific information.
   Merge european rabbit, domestic rabbit and house rabbit, moving info to new pages above.
   Take out care and behaviour sections from pages on rabbit breeds (apart from breed specific requirements) and merge these pages where there is insufficient information for individual pages.
