Description

Essentially, in this project, we contact the subjects of articles, and ask them for freely licensed photos of themselves/things related to them. Then we put the photos on Wikipedia. Sometimes, we might also ask recently deceased persons relatives. There are a lot of articles where photos are needed, and this would solve that problem. There are 1000s of articles that don't have images, that are about things that could have freely licensed images. Why do you want to start a new group, instead of joining one of these existing groups?: This doesn't fit under any other project. This is about collecting photos from the subjects of articles, like BLPs, buildings, monuments, or anything else that could have a freely licensed picture of the subject. Since we don't have to go out and take photos of the subjects, and since most of them would like a photo of themselves on Wikipedia, this is a win/win situation.
