Please invite these and any other similar groups to join the discussion about this proposal. See Wikipedia:WikiProject_Council/Directory to find similar WikiProjects.
Why do you want to start a new group, instead of joining one of these existing groups?
I think it would improve topics specifically linked to mysticism in Wikipedia. Vorbee (talk) 14:58, 24 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion

I see there is a WikiProject on Germanic Mysticism, but since mysticism is not solely a German phenomenon, WikiProject Mysticism would give more comprehensive coverage of this phenomenon. Vorbee (talk) 06:58, 1 May 2020 (UTC) Wikipedia: WikiProject Germanic Mysticism is headed by a tag saying it is defunct. A more general WikiProject on mysticism might stay active. Vorbee (talk) 06:57, 6 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

That project could even be deprecated and merged into the proposed project.--3family6 (Talk to me | See what I have done) 15:09, 6 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It might be helpful, if you haven't already done so, to go notify similar WikiProjects about this proposal as well as seeing who edits associated articles the most to let them know about this page. The reason why active WikiProjects become inactive is because of a lack of participation and, no matter the level of enthusiasm, you need more than three interested editors to keep a WikiProject afloat. Liz Read! Talk! 19:52, 17 May 2020 (UTC) Thank you - I have left messages on the talk pages of related WikiProjects. Vorbee (talk) 16:32, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Well, make that four! I think this is a great idea for a Wikiproject, and would be good at making these pages more objective, as a lot of them are likely to have been written specifically by proponents of the person or practice in question. User:bmcollier 08:23, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

How would this be different than WikiProject Spirituality? Do we need yet another 'oh so slightly different' WikiProject, or would it be better to re-infuse life into the other project? Normal Op (talk) 04:32, 15 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
