Description
[edit]This WikiProject wouldn't be for all of the humans in the world, for that would take forever, but instead all of the articles relating to humanity itself. I was very shocked to find out that we didn't have one about humans, and I think that it's broad enough to receive it's own WikiProject. buffbills7701 21:21, 29 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- Wikipedia:WikiProject Mammals (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
- Wikipedia:WikiProject Anthropology (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
- Why do you want to start a new group, instead of joining one of these existing groups?
- Wikiproject Anthropology is about the study of humanity, and Primates and Mammals could be parent WikiProjects, but I think humanity is broad enough to separate from those two.
Support
[edit]Also, specify whether or not you would join the project.
- I would join this project, since I was searching for it in the first place. buffbills7701 21:21, 29 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Discussion
[edit]Can you explain the different between WikiProject Humanity and WikiProject Anthropology? It seems like there would be a lot of overlap since anthropology is the "science of humanity". Kaldari (talk) 01:44, 31 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- I feel that WikiProject Anthropology is about the study of humanity. WikiProject Humanity would be about humanity itself. If I have made an error, please tell me. I just think that humanity and anthropology don't overlap too much, and that humanity deserves to have it's own WikiProject. buffbills7701 15:58, 31 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Perhaps you're right. My suggestion would be to ask WikiProject Anthropology what they think of the proposal. Kaldari (talk) 00:24, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
