- A taskforce for the topic on the Wikipedia:WikiProject Islam will be able to do the job a new project is not required, however if the project gains enough support then then I think it's scope should be expanded to include all the important personalities of the early Islamic ear. Taqi Haider (talk) 07:11, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Have you tried working via Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history/Middle Eastern military history task force or Wikipedia:WikiProject Islam (as mentioned above)? They might be better suited to cover this topic, and with only 10-20 battles I'm not sure this warrants a task force or project, as the scope appears to be too narrow. -Optigan13 (talk) 01:05, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- This is already adequately covered by the Early Muslim military history task force, I think. I certainly don't see the need for an entirely new project, given the inherently small number of articles involved. Kirill [talk] [pf] 05:15, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Agree with the above; the proposed articles would certainly fall under milhist's scope in collaboration with Wikipedia:WikiProject Islam (just as the exisitng ones already do). With such a narrowly defined scope I see no need for a separate project. EyeSerenetalk 13:28, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Agree with those above: the scope of the proposed project is quite small and is already covered by two WikiProject Military History task forces, Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history/Middle Eastern military history task force and Early Muslim military history task force, and WikiPorject Islam. Therefore, I just don't see any need to create a separate WikiProject. My regards, Laurinavicius (talk) 18:27, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
