[edit]02:14:29, 26 November 2019 review of submission by Glendon wasey
[edit]
I am a fan of Michael Stokes' work, and I thought he should have a photo on his Wikipedia entry, so I emailed him through his website to ask permission to upload a photo I found on the internet to his Wiki page. He said yes. Upon uploading, I was asked if I owned the copyright to the photo. I said no but that Mr. Stokes had given me permission to use it. This evidently led to the belief that Mr. Stokes and I have a personal relationship. We do not. He and I have never met. I simply emailed him to ask permission. I notice the photo has been taken down, which is fine. I feel bad that his page was flagged and I would like to ask that the "A major contributor to this article appears to have a close connection with its subject" flag be removed since it is not true.

Please re-review this article. I have added multiple secondary references, displaying that the local wrestling promotion has been making waves in the Philippines with its wrestling shows.

- A good chunk of your references are blogs, which are unreliable. This does not meet WP:PWPROM. JTP (talk • contribs) 15:08, 26 November 2019 (UTC)

How are other companies "sufficiently notable" for Wikipedia when this one isn't?
If you look just at the companies within the same industry... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MemoQ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smartcat https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smartling
I do not understand how Memsource is not notable enough but these are.
Thanks for your explanation.

- @94.74.228.98:, firstly, the presence (or indeed, absence) of another article on wikipedia doesn't mean this article should be included or deleted. This essay gives a good overview of why this is the case. It's certainly possible that one or more of these other articles also doesn't meet notability requirements and should be nominated for deletion at Articles for Deletion.
- I did, however, take a brief look at the three - MemoQ and Smartling both have at least a couple of good sources, whether that be reviews in reliable sources or more general consideration. Smartcat is much more of an edge case, but amongst a number of unhelpful sources, there is at least some reliable coverage.
- Please remember that companies and products have a higher notability requirement than most wikipedia articles. Nosebagbear (talk) 22:36, 26 November 2019 (UTC)

I included references to other articles as well that are comparable.. please advise? am I missing something?

- This is basically an advertisement. We are an encyclopedia, not an ad platform. The text needs to be neutral and written in a formal tone. Also, you cannot use the Institutes own pages as sources. You need news coverage of it. Captain Eek Edits Ho Cap'n!⚓ 21:12, 27 November 2019 (UTC)

I have added the third resource for general credibility. I believe this is my 10th edit. Someone please review and let me know what I need to do to get this posted. Been trying since August 24th. Thank you!
