My article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:MET_Group was declined. Could you please specify? Why was my draft declined? Which part looks like an ad? The sources are independent. How many sources do you need to accept the article? We have lots of Hungarian sources, are they good as well? Hungarian wikipédia article is already published, (accepted): https://hu.wikipedia.org/wiki/MET-csoport

Hi, my submission has been declined because it is too much of an advertisement, I have made it seem less of an advertisement and it still got denied, any help appreciated. Also, how do I include a logo on the page, and I'd like to add a box at the right of the page which has our logo, name, location, website, age etc.. Thanks Adam AdamMiddleton (talk) 12:04, 16 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • The article still looks like too much of an advertisement. To avoid future problems you should also read the WP:COI guidelines and disclose any connection to the subject. You should also remove any external links in text, and put them in ref tags. — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 12:41, 16 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Frayæ, thanks for the help. I have had a go at this and made it look even more less advertisement-y, do you think this would pass if I were to submit it now? Thanks, Adam. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AdamMiddleton (talkcontribs) 14:18, 16 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@AdamMiddleton: No, it wouldn't stand a chance of being accepted. The draft still reads like it was written by a PR flack. And the business doesn't appear to be remotely notable. --Worldbruce (talk) 16:45, 16 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I recently submitted my first article on Wikipedia about a gated community in Hyderabad called prajay megapolis that currently has more than 2000 people living there. Since i just started writing content on Wikipedia and also since i didn't have all the information related to the article and I was hoping to make this an iterative process and make daily updates. I have not added any content that relates to the gated community that is false or inaccurate or acts as an advertisement. Could you let me know why it was tagged as an advertisement when it clearly isn't. Ravenpratik (talk) 12:57, 16 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • It is because you are presenting it as a building project. Building project = hard to prove as notable. Village = presumed notable. To show it is a village, simply find the government or postal designation for it and cite that as a source, remove the section on facilities and any mention of building phases or the engineers. Once you have more of an idea of how Wikipedia works you may be able to include some of these details back in correctly. For now I recommend rewriting the article as a geographic place stub. — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 13:34, 16 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi There,

Not sure why an Off Broadway play is being turned down as an article, when it clearly is mentioned on other Wikipedia pages re people and Irish Repertory theatre

Can you advise?

How can this author create a wiki page for himself? I am his publicist and wanted to create one for him however it got rejected. I believe it was rejected due to the book descriptions, which the author wrote up himself and put on his own website. So I"m not sure how an author can create a page but not be allowed to use his own words from his website. Lbruffino67 (talk) 21:13, 16 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Your understanding of why it was rejected is only partially correct, the article is native advertising which in its current form it serves only to promote or publicise your client and would require a fundamental rewrite in order to become encyclopedic. Also the subject of the article is not sufficiently covered in external reliable sources to be considered eligible for an article at this time. You honestly don't have much chance here, you can try again but are likely to get rejected by someone else. If you do try again, make sure to read WP:COI and WP:PAID and follow the disclosure instructions. — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 22:05, 16 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
