[edit]
Hi !
As you declined my submission and before i try again (i don't want to make another mistake), i would like to know what is wrong with my draft.
I understood with my first drafts that the problem was about a duplicate content, so i rewrited it. Now, i guess the trouble deals with the links in the "references" sections. I understand that wiki does not exist to make promotion and this is not i want to do !!! As i'm a big fan of KRS One and other music artists, and the fact i met Pal Joey in real life and we became friends, i wanted to create a wiki page for him cause he deserves it for his long music carreer !
Can you confirm that the trouble is about the "references" section links ? If that's so, can i delete links, write informations whithout links ?
Thanks for your time !
Best regards,

- Hi Monageorgelin. Spin and Resident Advisor are generally reliable sources. It isn't clear whether Music Is My Sanctuary is a reliable source. One way to strengthen the draft would be to replace MIMS with something that's on the list of sources Wikipedians have generally found reliable for writing about music. An alternative would be to seek an affirmative opinion at Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard that the Music Is My Sanctuary article is a reliable source for establishing notability of Joseph Longo.
- All three sources are significant coverage rather than passing mentions, so that's good.
- The final important characteristic for sources is independence. WP:MUSICBIO excludes "Any reprints of press releases [and] other publications where the musician or ensemble talks about themselves" from the sources that can demonstrate notability. All three sources are press-release-like; all focus on the release of one album. In 'Spin', the label talks about Longo. In RA, Longo talks about himself. MIMS covers much of the same territory as the other two (pause tapes, Vinylmania, Orb, Sade, ...), which often happens when sources parrot the capsule bio that's circulated in a promotional packet. The draft would be stronger if it cited clearly independent sources, preferably spread out over time.
- A long music career is not a sufficient reason for an encyclopedia article. The first or second sentence should make clear to the reader why Longo is notable. If he meets one or more of the WP:MUSICBIO criteria, that is where to explain which ones and cite the reliable sources to back it up. See Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Lead section and Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Biography for how to write a better lead.
- Writing a new Wikipedia article is one of the most difficult, time consuming, and frustrating things a new editor can attempt, especially if English is not their first language. An alternative would be to ask at Wikipedia:Requested articles that an article be written about Longo. --Worldbruce (talk) 04:57, 3 August 2018 (UTC)
- @Worldbruce: I have done a copy edit and reference cleanup for this article, if you'd like to take a look and leave feedback. StrikerforceTalk 17:39, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
- @Strikerforce: The addition of AllMusic as a source is a good move. It would be even better to have one more in-depth, independent, reliable source. Many reviewers will balk at the phrase "regarded as an icon of the House scene", wanting to know "regarded by whom" since there's no attribution or inline citation.
- I see that the draft is back in the pool to be reviewed. I'll let another volunteer tackle it. They may offer different feedback, which can be frustrating, but they may have different strengths than I do. --Worldbruce (talk) 01:15, 9 August 2018 (UTC)

Hi, we are trying to create a page for Tegan Marie who is a young country singer. Please let me know what I can do so that the page is accepted into the wikipedia site. Tegan Marie (talk) 17:19, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
- Since your message say that "we" (whoever "we" might be) are editing on behalf of Tegan Marie, this account has been blocked as an impersonation of that person. --Orange Mike | Talk 17:50, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
- Have replied to the same message on my talkpage, as the reviewer who declined and recommended deletion. KJP1 (talk) 18:02, 1 August 2018 (UTC)

[edit]I now have a clearer understanding of the notability criteria. My question is does the radio interview with the subject constitute as 1 of my novice 3 sources or no? Brahben (talk) 22:03, 1 August 2018 (UTC)
- Brahben Greetings. Interview piece is considered primary source (info is obtained from the subject directly) which means the source is "dependent" from the subjeect. What we need here is WP:RS - secondary source which is "independent" from the subject from a reliable source where by the source talk about the subject directly in length and dept and not merely passing mention. Sources from major newspaper and reliable magazines would be suitable. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 09:43, 2 August 2018 (UTC)
I get it...the subject is just not famous enough..will work on the notiabrity
