[edit]03:55:44, 20 October 2017 review of submission by Jahangir.baigal
[edit]I had submitted my article for review, but it has been more than a month. The Process is taking a lot of time, I want to know when it will be reviewed? thanks

- Hi @Skdwived: - I'm no reviewer, but the process can last a long time. This is especially true if it is written in a way that may require an expert; as the references are in Hindi. You can still edit your work while it's in the queue. I would recommend changing a few things to give the article more of a wikipedia feel, and best chance of acceptance. Literacy Career needs to be cited, and sourced. Professional career needs to be written in prose, as does the poetry section. It's current format doesn't work; and isn't sourced. Favorite quotes is not something that should be on wikipedia, unless it can be attributed to his way of life, and should be written in prose. The final section should be listed as death.
- You can also not say that "Every fan showed his love"; as there is no proof; and also incredibly unlikely. You can say Fans showed their love, however, but you'd still need to prove that. Lee Vilenski(talk) 08:10, 20 October 2017 (UTC)
- Lee Vilenski, I thnk you are referring to this draft by Jahangir.baigal not to the one below by Skdwived. There seems to have been some glitch in the formatting that conflated the two different posts. I've fixed that now. Voceditenore (talk) 08:40, 20 October 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Hi All, I have written about one of the important arti in Hindu religion, please review & provide feedback. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Skdwived (talk • contribs) 04:08, 20 October 2017 (UTC)
- Hi @Skdwived: - This needs to be expanded, and written as an article. Most things in Wikipedia are written in prose; as most people who are reading Wikipedia are to read about a subject, and not read through the works themselves. Other articles are stubs, such as Jagran, are fine, but do need expanding. Usually the best place to start is with an overview of the subject, and then expanding into the meaning. This is an English Wikipedia; so large blocks written in other languages are not usually permissable. Lee Vilenski(talk) 10:23, 20 October 2017 (UTC)
- Hi @Lee Vilenski: - I have expanded a few details on the subject.

- Hi @Dipatuan-V:, the review has already been sent, it's listed at the bottom of the article. A quick word of warning, you will need to add an introduction to your piece. There is 0 chance of it being accepted without one. It also need significant wording changes, as Wikipedia is primarily written in prose, and in English. I would usually put in an article that you can look at the style of for comparrison, however from reading the draft, there is very little to tell me who the person is, without reading about the subject elsewhere. Not everything on Wikipedia is designed to be readable to all; (for instance, high level maths doesn't make a great deal of sense to anyone who doesn't know basic maths).... But it should still give as much of an overview of why the person is notable, and who they are.
- The only article I found was this one Melchora_Aquino, that might give you a basis to work with. Lee Vilenski(talk) 14:42, 20 October 2017 (UTC)
Thank you for your immediate reply.
