- Hello, IP address. Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. The draft's sole reference is a bad link and the entire body of the draft is nothing but blank sections. These are major problems that should be addressed before the draft is accepted for publication. NewYorkActuary (talk) 04:07, 8 February 2017 (UTC)

Hello, this is my first page creation and I have created for Javier Rebollo where data has been taken from es.wiki: https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Javier_Rebollo
Is this good enough to proceed with submission? Thanks.

- Hello, Top. Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. As things stand right now, your submission is woefully undersourced. Just about the entire draft has no references and it is unlikely to be accepted for publication in its current form. NewYorkActuary (talk) 17:41, 9 February 2017 (UTC)

My article on Patrick Watson, senior student of tai chi master, Cheng Man-ch'ing, and the founder of the Tai Chi Foundation, has been accepted for the following reason: "More independent reliable sources are needed. Please use inline citations." The article makes use of three books that are independent of Patrick Watson or the Tai Chi Foundation -- Patrick Kelly's Infinite Dao (New Zealand: Taiji Books, 2007], p. 163, ISBN: 978-0-473-13049-7, noted martial arts expert Robert W. Smith's Martial Musings: A Portrayal of Martial Arts in the 20th Century (Erie: Via Media Publishing, 1999) p. 292, ISBN 1-893765-00-8) and fellow student of Cheng Man-ching Wolfe Lowenthal's Gateway to the Miraculous: Further Explorations in the Tao of Cheng Man-ch’ing (Berkeley: Frog Ltd, 1994), pp. 87-89, ISBN 1-883319-13-7. These all seem to me to independent, reliable sources. Patrick Watson is also mentioned in the Wikipedia article on Cheng Man-ch'ing. While Patrick Watson did not author any books on tai chi chuan, the establishment of the Tai Chi Foundation, an organization that has continued the legacy of Cheng Man-ch'ing for the last forty years, does seem to be a notable achievement.
How many other reliable, independent sources do I need to include? What else do I need to do to establish the notable of Patrick Watson?
Thank you. 75.128.100.238 (talk) 21:46, 8 February 2017 (UTC)
- Hello, IP address. Thank you for your interest in Wikipedia. The best source of information as to why a submission was declined is the reviewer who looked at it. That person's name and Talk page button appear near the top of the draft. Before posting here, I took a look at the draft and found that I, too, would have declined it and for pretty much the same reason noted by the reviewer -- too much of this draft is not referenced and some of it is referenced to an unpublished "conversation" with the person who took the various photographs that appear in the draft. This material will need to be removed and it is unclear to me whether the remaining material will be enough to sustain an article. On a different note, all of the photographs appearing in the draft have been uploaded to Wikipedia Commons, but it is unclear whether the uploader actually had the right to license the photographs for this use. It may well be that all of those images will need to be removed if the uploader is not the holder of their copyrights. I hope this response has been helpful.
