- I deleted your draft as a copyright violation. Please never ever copy external texts here without permission. As for a template for a softball player, try fr example this one: Latham Tawhai.--Ymblanter (talk) 20:01, 2 March 2016 (UTC)

- No draft specified!

Last year I had an article declined as not meeting the notability standards. The article was about a Montessori school in my area - a relatively new school that runs from ages 16 months to 8th grade. It was suggested that I submit the article elsewhere - for example an alternative school or educational Wiki. However I am having trouble identifying another Wiki, and wonder if someone might be able to recommend a good outlet? Thanks for any help you can offer.
- Meredith one of the base tenets of Wikipedia is that a topic must be Notable in order to be included. Have a read through this page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability and then determine if the school is worthy of its own article. If it is, start an article in draft space about it and ask for help or use the wizard here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Article_wizard Welcome Aboard! --Potguru (talk) 15:24, 2 March 2016 (UTC)
I am very confused. I have issues comprehending certain things unless someone breaks it down for me. This is my 2nd time trying to create a Wikipedia article on 2 legitimate topics with a number of notable cited sources. Can someone please help me understand how to do this properly? I keep being denied, yet I know for a fact these topics are legitimate. I have articles from MTV, Perez Hilton, Aaron Carter, HipHipDX and more to back the information included.
Please help me understand! :)
Contrast Magazine (talk) 01:38, 2 March 2016 (UTC)
- @Contrast Magazine: Hello, one of the issues with User:Contrast_Magazine/sandbox is that it does not show why the magazine meets Wikipedia's inclusion criteria. This is in large part due to the quality of the references—there are only two of them; one does not mention Contrast Magazine at all, and the other is from a gossip blog (Perez Hilton) that is not a reliable source for Wikipedia's purposes. The types of sources you should be using instead are reputable, reliable magazines, journals, books or newspapers. They should be independent of the subject, and they should discuss the subject in significant detail.
- This leads to another issue—it appears that you may have a conflict of interest (COI) in this area. Conflict-of-interest editing is strongly discouraged on Wikipedia, in part because editors often find it very hard to write neutrally about a subject they're closely connected to. Please read WP:COI to learn about Wikipedia's policy on the matter. A good rule of thumb is to avoid writing articles entirely in areas where you have a COI. Finally, as I've posted on your talk page, your username appears to represent the magazine, which is contrary to Wikipedia's username policy. Please use the link I've left on your talk page to choose a different username. Thanks, /wiae /tlk 03:38, 2 March 2016 (UTC)
MAHENDRA BOTRE (talk) 05:53, 2 March 2016 (UTC)
- @MAHENDRA BOTRE: Hello, do you have a specific question about the draft? It was declined because it is just a string of letters without any discernible English meaning. Thanks, /wiae /tlk 16:59, 2 March 2016 (UTC)

I submitted an article to be reviewed "Analysis of the Icon" a subtopic of The Ladder of Divine Ascent. I have good sources for the article and it should be considered as additional information for the page. I do not intend to delete any of the existing information that is present on the Ladder of Divine Ascent, my article simply contributes additional information. Please accept "Analysis of the Icon" as a subtopic on the page. I think there was some confusion as to what page i was requesting to edit. How can I make this clear? NickArt144 (talk) 06:31, 2 March 2016 (UTC)
- Hi NickArt144 - We do not review additions or changes to already existing articles, you should simply go ahead and add your content to the article itself. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 18:02, 2 March 2016 (UTC)

[edit]
Last time I created an article, three months back, I ended up starting a war about the terms cannabis vs marijuana. In an effort to avoid a war I am seeking guidance before I request my draft be converted to an article.

Potguru (talk) 15:13, 2 March 2016 (UTC)
- Hi Potguru, What do you see the purpose of the list being? What value does it add? Wikipedia is not a mirror. It is not for simply hosting a copy of a list available online from another site. --Worldbruce (talk) 16:31, 7 March 2016 (UTC)

[edit]- Evrilleunice (talk · contribs)
Hi there, the first submission of the PRA page was rejected for not being supported adequately by reliable resources. I've added in nine new citations to the article to provide additional external support for the information written. Before I resubmit, I wanted to check to see if there was anything else that needed to be done/these new citations were sufficient to resolve the initial denial of the page. Thank you so much for your help! Evrilleunice (talk) 17:35, 2 March 2016 (UTC)
- Hi Evrilleunice, I've left a book-length comment on the draft. After you've dealt with the issues described there, resubmit the draft and await another review. It's an iterative process. Not all problems will necessarily be identified during any given review, but we'll try to catch the most important ones and keep the draft moving toward acceptance. Worldbruce (talk) 20:26, 7 March 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you so much, Worldbruce (talk)! This is really helpful. I'll go through your comments one by one and make the recommended changes. Thank you again! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Evrilleunice (talk • contribs) 19:26, 8 March 2016 (UTC)

I do not understand why the article was rejected. The resources seem to meet your requirements for a notable person. What is your advice in order to have this article accepted about an award-winning architect? Thanks.
Leludemil (talk) 20:56, 2 March 2016 (UTC)
- Hi Leludemil, I've left a explanation on the draft along with a suggestion about how to proceed. Worldbruce (talk) 00:10, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
23:44:25, 2 March 2016 review of submission by Marcdav10
[edit]I submitted an article on "Dennis Harp Basketball Coach." I have articles from the Abilene Reporter-News, Dallas Morning Herald and several Indiana newspapers all detailing his accomplishments. Also, the Hardin-Simmons University website verifies the records I posted. Thus, I do not understand why article was rejected. The following was sent to me from Wikipedia: "This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources." If newspaper articles are not reliable sources, and a university's website is inadequate, I would appreciate knowing what is needed to get this individual posted on Wikipedia. He is the most successful men's basketball coach ever at Hardin-Simmons, a university that provided a former NBA basketball player (Harvey Catchings) who is listed on Wikipedia.
Marcdav10 (talk) 23:44, 2 March 2016 (UTC)
- Actually Marcdav10, the problem with your references is that they are incomplete. The name of a newspaper and a date is nowhere near an actual reference. You need to add the specific article title, the page number and the article author if one is named, if the article is available online you have to also add the web link to it. Similarly a web reference must include the link to the specific page that contains the relevant information - the name of the website alone is completely useless. See the Referencing for beginners guide. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 16:53, 3 March 2016 (UTC)
