How is it possible to submit pictures for review or to support articles ? In the past I have attached files without being able to see if the image fits well within the body of the text.

- @Friends of Luck 82: Don't worry about images yet- though you can try using visual editor which is a bit like using Microsoft Word. To add references click the "cite" button on Visual Editor or see WP:Referencing for beginners to see how you can add references. jcc (tea and biscuits) 10:14, 10 January 2016 (UTC)

I have re-submitted the article over 10 years ago. I have not received any feedback/decisions yet. Would you please give me an status update? Thanks!
Yazhouliu (talk) 06:52, 10 January 2016 (UTC)
- You resubmitted the draft on 31 December, so only 10 days ago, not 10 years! --David Biddulph (talk) 09:56, 10 January 2016 (UTC)
- @Yazhouliu: The draft has been accepted into the main article space. Thanks, /wiae /tlk 16:59, 10 January 2016 (UTC)

I am a first timer trying to write an article about a notable man that has made significant contributions in technology and company development. My problems are:
1. He worked a longtime ago before internet had online content 1980 that was useful. Some of his early work was not online and eventually the paper archives exceeded the statutes after 20 years of storage. 2. He has several technology patents that are easy to refer to and many companies created derivative patents from his also easy to refer to (USPTO) 3. He owned several companies and those facts have been clearly referenced in many sites and contents. But the work those companies did are usually found in press releases published with reputable quotes from top executives in companies such as HP, Microsoft, etc. I don't know how to refer to those PR even though they are in industry magazines. 4. I was provided with some files and pictures that he owns but now I am getting messages that they are set for deletion. How do I get them used in the article? They are authentic. 5. Any help is appreciated. By the way this person once had an article in wikipedia that had been deleted after 5 years of no updates and non-verifiable sources. I am trying to make a better article because this person is quite notable and I believe the world needs to know. That is my personal charter as a new author, to try and resurrect worthy past articles with better research.
I hope you can help me. It is greatly appreciated already. TimeMist (talk) 07:50, 10 January 2016 (UTC)

- @TimeMist: Regarding point 3, use Template:Cite magazine, or using Visual Editor, click the cite button, then the magazine button. Regarding point 4, all images for living people have to be free (under the right license and with prove). Did Mr Collazo give you the images? jcc (tea and biscuits) 10:18, 10 January 2016 (UTC)
Thank you for your advice. I will try to use the Cite magazine template. Yes, he did provide me with the images and files. TimeMist (talk) 17:02, 10 January 2016 (UTC)

This is my first time submitting a page. It has gone very smoothly, with one exception: the info box. I have uploaded a photo and copied an info box template into the page following the directions I found online. I also tried to create this infobox in the sandbox. In both cases, I have not succeeded in seeing how this will actually look on the finished page. Have I done something wrong, or is this something that happens at your end?
Thanks! Mary Bufe

- @Mary Bufe: Hi, and welcome to the Help Desk! The infobox at Draft:Dan Shugar has been fixed so that it appears correctly. It looks like it was hidden between "nowiki" tags, so it wouldn't show up correctly. You can take a look at Template:Infobox to learn more about how generic infoboxes work. I uncommented the birth date parameter in the infobox so it is also visible.
- The draft is in the review queue, and an experienced reviewer will take a closer look at the draft in the coming days or weeks to give you their feedback. Thanks, /wiae /tlk 21:17, 10 January 2016 (UTC)

I am working on a wikipedia page for a company in the solar industry, and for reasons that I can't figure out, when I cite articles from an industry publication -- pv-magazine.com -- they are rejected because the site is "blacklisted." Here is an example: (OOPS! This page wouldn't save because I got a message saying that the link was blacklisted.
This is a legitimate industry magazine. Can you provide me any insights on what the problem might be, or how I can get around it? I have several citations from articles in this publication (online).
I am sorry. I didn't realize that you couldn't see what I was working on. The page is for NEXTracker, Inc. I am unable to save it at this time because of this blacklisted link. I'm requesting that you "un-blacklist" pv-magazine.com so I can cite several articles about the solar industry and this company. It is an important source for what I have been working on.

- For the time being, I would suggest using sites other than pv-magazine to show WP:N. You could add in plaintext mentions to the article but without the hyperlink. After that, see about adding in the specific URL(s) to Spam Whitelist. LionMans Account (talk) 02:05, 11 January 2016 (UTC)
