@PS Prasad Warrier: Your draft was declined because you haven't cited any sources that show that the person is notable. Please see WP:BIO and WP:CITE. --Ahecht (TALK

Hi! This page keeps getting rejections. Please may I know what the issue is? Thanks

Temi.

@169.159.81.211 and Atedo Peterside: Because this is the biography of a living person, you need sources to back up the things you are saying about this person. For example, the "Business career" section only has one citation in the middle, but all substantial statements of fact should be backed up by citations. --Ahecht (TALK

Hi, I was creating a page for a company called Redington gulf, which is one of the largest IT supply chain company in UAE. I have been told that article has to be declined - from articles for creation.

I would like to know why this article is subjected to this decision. Please enlighten.

@Panks23: You accidentally deleted the pink box on the draft that explained why it had been declined and what you needed to do to fix it. I restored it for you. --Ahecht (TALK

Request on 18:05:41, 8 June 2015 for assistance on AfC submission by Rauisuchian

[edit]

Is there a way to remove a draft from Articles for Creation, to then move/create it the generic way? I didn't realize that AfC was mainly for articles about organizations and individuals until I had already submitted. Rauisuchian (talk) 18:05, 8 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Rauisuchian: Nothing is stopping you from removing the AfC banner yourself, but I don't know where you got the idea that AfC was mainly for articles about organizations and individuals. You tend to see a lot of those here on the help desk because a vast majority of the rejected articles are rejected because they're about non-notable people and companies. --Ahecht (TALK

18:23:14, 8 June 2015 review of submission by Devilsbane

[edit]

I've submitted this page a couple times and it keeps getting rejected based on notability, even though I have added a number of independent sources about the band from newspapers, magazines, and radio stations. The first person who rejected it I contacted to talk about what needs to be done and was told they don't do article reviews anymore, so I resubmitted. After a month of waiting it was reviewed and rejected again and after requesting details from that users never received a reply. I feel that I have the sources to establish notoriety, but I must be missing something. Any help you can provide me to make it better would be fantastic. Thank you

Devilsbane (talk) 18:23, 8 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Devilsbane:I left a comment on the draft. --Worldbruce (talk) 20:19, 8 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

19:15:25, 8 June 2015 review of submission by TCVCJ

[edit]

I have at least six more articles that I wish to submit, but I would like to know for sure if either of the two I've already submitted are going to be approved before I do the others. Will somebody check them for me, please? I did drafts on both; corresponded with two different reviewers; was turned down for various reasons; tried to correct/improve as instructed and am still waiting for a final answer! Both the articles I submitted concern non-profits and are marketed as tourism venues in Tazewell County VA. One reviewer left reviewing right after she first started working with me - perhaps I was too hard to work with as a newcomer - don't really know....but I'd sure like to get hooked up with someone else like her - she answered questions almost immediately and that was wonderful! Please help me!TCVCJ (talk) 19:15, 8 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello User:TCVCJ. I have accepted Cedar Bluff Overlook Park, but please note the problems that I fixed, and other problems that I identified with templates, with this edit. Your other page Draft:Back of the Dragon is not currently submitted for review, lacks references, and still has problems with promotional language and a lack of wikilinks to other Wikipedia articles (making it a "dead end"). You can see how to add wikilinks to other Wikipedia articles at Wikipedia:CHEATSHEET. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 19:29, 10 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi--The contribution is just meant to be a stub and I've marked it as such. I've seen other stubs that are shorter and have fewer citations and links, so I'm confused as to why it's been rejected. This is an internationally recognized scholarly organization that publishes a well-regarded, peer-reviewed journal and hosts a large conference every two years. I've looked at entries (not stubs, but full entries) for other similar organizations, such as the Medieval Academy of America, and tried to use those as models. What do I need to add to get this article posted? AMBohne (talk) 19:51, 8 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

AMBohne (talk) 19:51, 8 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi AMBohne, basically you need to show that someone outside of the society itself has taken sufficient interest in it to have written about it in significant detail. Nothing written by members or published by the society itself can ever prove its Notability. You need to find independent reliable sources such as articles about the society in newspapers, magazines or academic journals written and published by people independent of the society.
