Hello, I've noticed that my submission which is pending review is now in the very old category. I have seen a notification about a large backlog and just wanted to clarify that it is not because of something on my end. Many thanks.

Hi, I am doing this entry for my mother-in-law as a 90th birthday present. She is aware that I am doing this and has reviewed my draft submission. Is there anything else I need to do?

Being a regular user of Wikipedia, i succumbed to the invitation to contribute something:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Introduction
"Don't be afraid to edit – anyone can edit almost every page, and we are encouraged to be bold! Find something that can be improved and make it better—for example, spelling, grammar, rewriting for readability, adding content, or removing non-constructive edits. If you wish to add new facts, please try to provide references so they may be verified, or suggest them on the article's discussion page."
Apparently that is not so in practice, so I give up.
Compare my 20-minutes "seed article" with the following article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palcrypt I think my "seed" was at least as good, and good enough for others to build on top of it. I don't plan to spend my life expanding on it. And it's no worse than: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/AxCrypt
Need more than three references about AxCrypt?
Need "notability"?
Bye! There, another 20 minutes wasted..
