[edit]16:11:36, 19 November 2014 review of submission by Acrylicafternoon88
[edit]
My draft was rejected on the basis that Eric Bass is does not meet the notability guidelines for Wikipedia. I don;'t understand why because he is a member of the platinum selling band Shinedown and all of the other members have their own Wikipedia pages. He also owns his own production studio and has worked on production with bands that have Wikipedia pages (Sleeper Agent, Royal Teeth). The sources I used are all verifiable. Either city papers or Allmusic database, etc. I am not sure what else I can improve upon to get the article accepted. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

- @Acrylicafternoon88: AllMusic isn't a reliable source. Most of your sources aren't both independent and reliable. The subject has to meet either our notability criteria specific to musicians or meet general notability with extensive coverage in media outlets like Revolver or Hit Parader. Since notability is not inherited, members of a band aren't presumed to be notable themselves. Chris Troutman (talk) 17:36, 19 November 2014 (UTC)

- @150.129.132.87: Your draft is unreferenced and the subject isn't notable. We don't help write your draft and autobiographies are discouraged. Chris Troutman (talk) 18:08, 19 November 2014 (UTC)

Hi, I am hoping to receive assistance with my draft so that it may be approved into an article ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Michael_W._Sonnenfeldt ). It was declined twice - first for lack of relevance because I focused too much on Sonnenfeldt's companies and the programs he is involved in and then again to at which point I needed to add more sources.
I also read that others could review/make edits my draft is I added it to my user page, which I did but no one has added/edited it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:ARPass/Michael_W._Sonnenfeldt
I would greatly appreciate any help and suggestions. Best, ARPass (talk) 19:24, 19 November 2014 (UTC)
- @ARPass: Once your article is in Draft: space people can edit it if they want, but they are under no obligation to. The "others can edit your page" is more of a warning than a promise. Draft:Michael W. Sonnenfeldt was reviewed and declined, and won't be reviewed again until it is resubmitted for rereview (it may take 4-6 weeks after submission before someone reviews it again). I would also strongly encourage you to just edit Draft:Michael W. Sonnenfeldt and not create a duplicate copy at User:ARPass/Michael_W._Sonnenfeldt as that just leads to confusion. If you have specific questions about article itself (not about the review process) you can ask at WP:HELPDESK. --Ahecht (TALK
PAGE) 15:55, 21 November 2014 (UTC)- I'm also going to resubmit the draft for you -- it looks like the last decline reason was a bit circular -- your draft was rejected for being a copy of Michael W. Sonnenfeldt but then that article was deleted for being a copy of your draft. --Ahecht (TALK
