[edit]wiki page update
[edit]We as a group enjoy having a big title on your site and wish for you to update the page for anonymous because acording to your site we are a little under rated — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.99.64.43 (talk) 02:04, 26 May 2014 (UTC)
- You mean Anonymous (group)? It looks pretty lengthy to me! If you wish to contribute to an article, this isn't the place to do it. Either click on the 'Edit' tab at the top of the article in question, or suggest an edit on the Talk page. Sionk (talk) 14:40, 26 May 2014 (UTC)
Dear Helper,
I am grateful to your helper JustBerry for pointing me in your direction. It would be greatly appreciated if I could be advised regarding the easiest way to achieve a listing for my friend and artist Robert King Crawford. He is computer illiterate, so I have been acting on his behalf to have him listed by Wikipedia (since November 2012). I am 83 and he is 87 in August. I'm hoping that with your kind advice we may achieve listing approval before we become old!!!
Some of the References listed in the draft contain reviews and feature articles which one would expect prove Crawford's 'notability' beyond doubt. If the texts from these references were quoted and/or uploaded would this help?
Are there currently 'offending' claims that can be temporarily omitted from the draft (to be proven and reinstated later) in order to gain approval?
I thank you in anticipation of your kind advice.

- You need to understand that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a promotional listing service. 95% of your draft article is based at length on what Robert Crawford says about himself and his work. Instead you need to write the article concisely based on what other independent journalistic (or book) sources have said about him and his work. I can see you've listed some news/magazine coverage at the bottom of your article, I suggest you base your Wikipedia article on what these news sources say. As a start off I'd strongly suggest you permanently remove the long 'Mesmeric Art' poem(?) and the Ten Commandments.
- There are tailored 'notability' guidelines for creative professionals at WP:ARTIST which you may find useful to look at.
- It will also help your cause if you can cite the various facts/claims in your article to specific sources, using some form of inline citation. These aren't essential but are extremely helpful, particularly when the sources are not available online - it gives the reader/reviewer a better idea of what the news/magazine articles say. Good luck! (talk) 14:34, 26 May 2014 (UTC)
Sionk Thank you very much Sionk for your thoughtful advice addressing my immediate queries. I will do my best to follow your guidelines. Marcus Of Oz (talk) 09:15, 28 May 2014 (UTC) Marcus Of Oz
Review of Draft:Schmiedmann
[edit]Hi.
Regarding the rejection. I have used the article Hartge as a template for this. Could you please pin point how my draft differs? (This is my first article, so any help is much appreciated :-) )
Regarding notability i have found these resources:
http://media.schmiedmann.com/media/76801/article_jydske_vestkysten_nordborg_21_04_2014_english.pdf (This has been published in a newsletter that requires subscription) http://static.schmiedmann.dk/Html/danish/presse/total-bmw/total-bmw-july-2012-schmiedmann-article.pdf#page=1
Image upload I would like to include schmiedmann logo to the infobox, however it seems I do not have permission to upload (or simply not skilled enough ;-)). Would someone please do this for me: http://static.schmiedmann.dk/images/company-logo.png (This must fall under fair use)

- The Hartge article is a very poor article indeed and may be deleted at any time. Please don't use it as a template. In particular, articles about companies need to prove they have been widely written about in independent reliable (journalistic) sources. The sources you have highlighted above are clearly not independent. Sionk (talk) 14:45, 26 May 2014 (UTC)
Hello. I was hoping to get guidance on how to get this article accepted. This is the article- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Alessandra_Sanguinetti She is extremely notable in photography- the Guggenheim, being in Magnum, and being published by Nazareli are at the top of the most notable things that can happen. Any advice on getting this published is appreciated. Thanks!TammyMercure (talk) 15:25, 26 May 2014 (UTC)
- It's very close to being okay, in my view. The ArtDaily article is a good one, if you know of any more news articles or reviews of her work, please add them. If you can find reliable proof that she has examples of her work in important public collections (like the ones you've listed) this may be sufficient to squeak past WP:CREATIVE notability criteria threshold. Review of Draft:Barry Farah
[edit]The submission for article Barry Farah was rejected with comments about fictional characters not being suitable. He is not fictional as the references to real world events confirm. How can this be resolved? Review of Draft:Barry Farah

Review of Draft:Barry Farah
[edit]I am having some difficulty with references that I have included in the body of the article. In the first and fourth sections the references are embedding correctly. In the second and third sections the references are not linking in the same way. What am I doing incorrectly?
Also, I am attempting to add a photo file. Following the directions, I can create the frame but am not sure where I can pull the file from. I see no option to download it from my computer. Does it need to be put on an FTP site for download?
Lyricus9Lyricus9 (talk) 16:02, 26 May 2014 (UTC)
- @Lyricus9: Please read WP:CITE. You're using external links within the body of the article, not references. Furthermore, those links don't appear to be reliable. Squarespace is not a source. Also, I invited you to try the Wikipedia Adventure, which will help with your coding. See the file upload wizard to upload an image. Once uploaded you can link to it. Review of Manitoba Chinese Community Centre/Pangh
[edit]Hi I submit an article about Manitoba Chinese Community Centre(MCCC) and it was declined. I would like to know the reason. Thank you very much!
Panghd (talk) 22:17, 26 May 2014 (UTC)
- Hello Panghd. User:Panghd/sandbox was declined because the draft was blank; you had not included any information about the subject, nor any references to reliable sources to support the information. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 10:39, 27 May 2014 (UTC)
