Just wondering why this page was not approved to be posted. Any feedback would be great!! It's actually my first attempt at creating a Wiki page, so I'm sure there may be some obvious things I missed or didn't think about. Thank you in advance!! - Hi. As I've explained in the box where it says your article was declined, you need inline citations (not just a list of sources at the end). Wikipedia has a policy stating that articles about living people must have inline citations. - Wikipedia is not for hoaxes. If these stories have indeed been covered by a variety of independent, reliable sources, then this article is suitable. I'm wondering why the article for a grammy winning singer/songwriter was declined. If there is something that I could do to fix this, I would like to know.

- The submission was rejected for the reasons given at the top of the submission.
- To fix it you would need to completely re-write the submission, as it is written in an extremely promotional tone instead of an encyclopedic one. You would also need to reference the article appropriately and provide suitable sources to document Bloom's Grammy-winning success. Review of User:Writewise2014/sandbox
[edit]I have for many years worked in 'theatre of the oppressed' which has been supported by many radical people, from Susan Sarandon to Diana Rigg, and Robbie Coltrane. We are wanting to put some document on the internet in Wikipedia to that purpose. The text read: 'Jeremy Weller, director of theatre started Grassmarket Project with Jean Findlay to make a theatre company that would be available to every man and woman as a space for them to express themselves. It has been compared to Augusto Boal and the work of Poor People's Theatre. Jean and Jeremy met at Goldsmith's College, where they together organised a sabbatical to study under legendary Tadeusz Kantor, in Krakow. The work they saw later led them to create Grassmarket with a play centred on the experience of Terry Francis Rigby, a man who had been homeless in the Edinburgh since the war, but had made valuable use of his time, by reading in public libraries and studying the classics. For this reason he was a popular figure, reciting Shakespeare to passersby. When Jeremy and Jean grew uncomfortable with the work of contemporaries that was focussed on commercial success, such as Damien Hirst, a classmate, they returned to her birthplace of Edinburgh to start the company. There they found immediate support from Sean Connery through Rikki Demarco's Gallery. Diana Rigg, Susan Sarandon, made an effort to support the company, alongside Robbie Coltrane, author Richard Holloway, known for 'Honest Doubt' series on Radio 4.' I did not put a title for the article although it should be 'Grassmarket Project', then I can add more details about Jeremy Weller and Charlie Wiseman and how we work internationally. - At present it is almost certain to be declined, because you have not provided any references to independent sources to back up the statements made. Examples of suitable sources in this instance might be reviews of the organisation's performances in newspapers, or reports about the organisation's activities in this section of the BBC News website.

I did, however, reference everything and do not understand what needs to be changed. Can you give me some hints?

- It seems you have only referenced the "Work" section, not "Biography" or any other section. Certainly you know about your own life, but others do not. That information must be supported by reliable sources as well. --Anon126 (talk - contribs) 16:16, 6 February 2014 (UTC)
Please expand re Gryllida's comment/s of 11 Jan 2014 per Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Walt Odets. In this new article, URL references are being reformatted per Template:Cite web per Gryllida's suggestion. Question: Must I reformat non-url references per the same/similar template? e.g., hard-copy books and journals, etc. are currently formatted per <ref>citation</ref>

- Yes, if you use the "cite web" template for website sources please use other relevant templates from the same set such as "cite news", "cite book", etc. for the other references too. The principle is consistency of style. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 20:52, 6 February 2014 (UTC)

[edit]I am trying to submit an article for review. It is in table form, as in a football table, the top 9 lines are fine in a box but the bottom 11 are outside this box and are one long text. Worse still further tables are completely one long text. Review of Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Trivialastute/Sweetheart (Starbucks music compilations)

I recently submitted a page intended to provide an overview for a series of albums, which was rejected because the content was not deemed "notable" enough. However, there are two editions of this series with their own pages already on Wikipedia (linked in the page), so I don't think that is really an issue. I'll be honest: I don't have time to format the page appropriately, but I'm sure it would be really quick for someone already well-versed in editing and coding for the site. I'd envision the main page having links to the subpages - Sweetheart: Love Songs (2004) [new], Sweetheart 2005 [existing page], Sweetheart 2009 [new], Sweetheart 2010 [new], and Sweetheart 2014 [existing page].
I just thought it would be nice for all the albums in the series to be listed together since they all have very notable artists contributing (the vast majority of whom have their own Wikipedia pages). I'm happy for someone to take this over, but I hate to see the page and content killed at this stage.
